  14. This is the first project I have attempted to post, hopefully it works. This is a replica of an 1885 McClellan saddle that I have been working on for a couple years on and off and have finally finished. Much research was done at the Museun of the Horse Soldier in Tucson Arizona and with articles from the internet including ones written by Dan Preston and another by Verlane Desgrange. I also need to thank Kirby and Jim from Tandy Tempe Arizona for much help and assistance which included getting that twist correct in the stirrup straps. Next I need to start the saddle bags, breast collar and other accesories. Let me know what you think.
  15. Welcome from Mesa, Arizona, USA. I am facinated by knots and how people can memorize them. I enjoy braiding leather when I want to relax.
  16. I am sad to report that member Karl Fox of Phoenix, AZ passed away on June 10th, he was 60 years young. He passed away at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale after losing his battle to receive a new heart. He was a dear friend to all that got to know him and will be greatly missed by many in the local leather community and HOG chapter. Hope they have Harleys in heaven. Thank you, Mark
  17. Sending out lot prayers and positive thoughts to member Fox while he waits for a heart transplant at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ. Hang in there buddy, we are all pulling for you! Mark Bentley
  18. I have never been satisfied the first time I try a new project from scratch, it is always a learning process and you get better with practice. There is always the joy of knowing you did it yourself and there is not another one just like it anywhere else!
  19. Never get tired of seeing your work, well done. Hope to see you some Wednesday evening next year at Jim's. Mark
