  1. what's the purpose of multiple accounts? as far as softwear check out thunderbird....it's free/open source so you don't have to pay...it's stable...and it usually looks nifty..it can do everything outlook (real outlook...not express) can do...and it SHOULD run on 98 (hopefully you're on 98SE).... depending on the "mail account" types...some places will allow you to "forward" your mail to a central location automatically (some of the web based emails can do this)....also alot of the webbased email "brands" can interface with outlook (i.e. hotmail and yahoo) so that the mail from those accounts shows up in a different folder within outlook (or thunderbird) so you don't have to log in online to check your online mail....you just need to fire up outlook (or thunderbird) while you're online
  2. johanna...take a look at http://www.instructables.com/ and see how they do their "instructables" i wonder if there could be a method like this for "non real time" instruction
  3. for the pictures you're sending me...make sure they're of the quality that you want....i can do some file size manipulation to make the image small enough to be usable...but anything i do to shrink the file will make the image a little lower in quality...so if i start out with a substandard pic...the final result will be worse
  4. hehe...sorry...i think i misunderstood the first question that you asked...i thought you were asking a diff questioin than what you were ...well i use photoshop cs2 and image ready (kind of a sinle package) but...that would sureley be overkill for anything you'd be wanting to use it for ($700+) i've rarely used anything else so my suggestions don't really help much here... did a quick search on www.tucows.com and foud some gif animators that suggest that they are free...but i can't really base any claims on usability also did a search on snapfiles (sometimes a little more reliable than tucows) http://www.snapfiles.com/downloadfind.php?...t=gif+animation and got a bunch of free trials alternately...if the only reason you want a gif editor...is so that you can make a single avatar just for this site....you could email me the pictures to include in the gif (named in order of appearance i.e. pic1, pic2, pic3, etc..) and i could create one for you
  5. yeah...any file type would be fine for the originals...then you'd need to import them into a gif creator/editor and put them in the right order...with whatever transitions you would want...do you have gif animation software already?
  6. i'm not saying it couldn't be done...nor am i saying that it wouldn't be "neato mosquito nifty cool" hehe...but depending on the image quality and amount of images...it would probably be a very large file...and would take a while to load on dial-up...s'all i'm saying
  7. the avatar you're describing sounds a bit complex...i do however agree that if admin could find a "stock avatar pack" that at least remotely resembled leather working...that would be neat...but that's pretty difficult to find... theoretically depending on where the GIF is being displayed...they tend to already be looped...but usually (depending on the software used to create said GIF) there are settings within the GIF to loop it or stop upon completion
  8. Makes you wonder how he ENDED up in the wheelchair to begin with doesn’t it?
  9. in the avatar section of y our control panel..bellow the area that is asking for a url there is one that says "upload from my computer" that box has a button that says "browse" ...click that button...it will bring up a screen that will let you navigate through your computer to find the image
  10. http://www.cincinnati.com/bigpiggig/images/pig093000.jpg one of the cincinnati pigs hmm was looking for more but that's the best profile i can find... (little internet hint for you guys when looking for ideas...if you go to any of the major search engines...like google or altavista...there is an option to do an image search...you choose that option then type what you want pictures of and press search...you'll get pages and pages of thumnailed pictures to choose from...instead of a list of websites)
  11. um...i can't stand nascar...how many times can you turn left?
  12. i've got photoshop cs2 and it's the closest thing to god that i have ever found...the perspective tool is EXTREMELY handy...and i have yet to find another software that can do it quite as easily...though...the CLOSEST software that i've found is The Gimp(hehe funny software for leather folk)....it's opensource (means free) and once you learn how to use it (not easy) you can do just about everything that photoshop can do...i however do not know the system requirements...if it will work on your machine...maybe give it a try
  13. i guess shoot me a pm about my actual requirements heheh (hehe another forum to babysit...great..see what hapens when you mention "adult section" hehehe)
  14. i was thinking of just floating around and never actually introducing myself (sort of like an etherial spectre wafting in on the wind from time to time) but i figured it would only be polite to make my presence known. I am not..have never been...and probably won't be a leather worker (i don't have the attention span to learn this stuff)..i do however like leather things...something about using a natural medium and coaxing it into whatever you want...is just nice. i am however very fond of metal sculpting, and i do it whenever i have time (and cash...the stuff aint cheap)...i also enjoy rock climbing ALOT...very peacefull... i came here because of your wonderfull admin (whom i know from her other internet home) and so far i like what i see...everyone here does awesome stuff and it looks like you're getting the "family" together which is always nice... my main expertice in life is computers (networking and other things) and that is also my current career (network administrator for a soon to be giant branch of an already giant company owned by toyota) so if you have any questions on that end of the world...let me know...i'll try my best...other than that...expect to see me floating around looking at all the really cool stuff and posting a few "holy crap that's really cool" replies.
  15. wow....that's an awesome seat...when in doubt...put a skull on it and it will be bad ass!
