Can someone tell me where I can find a rotary hook for my Adler 69 machine. Thanks
-
It has been set up tO run 138 thread . They said it will run 138 top and bottom but suggest running 92 on the bottom. i was just wondering what others are doing.

I have sold my CB 3200 and ordered a used reconditioned Adler 69. The 3200 was a great machine but just not what I needed. The 69 has a lot smaller dia. cyl. I will post some pictures when i receive it and get it mounted on a table that I am making for it. My question to anyone using this machine do you run a 138 thread top and bottom or a 138 on top with a 92 on the bottom.

I have a like new 3200 for sale. i have only sewn about 12 projects on it. A great machine i just dont use it. I know later on as my leather work grows I Will regret selling it but for now it is for sale to fund a different machine. -
I am listing my Cowboy 3200 for sale. It is in like new condition. I have only sewn a couple of bags and about 10 belts with it. Honestly it is in like new condition. I really hate to see it go but I have found I need a different style machine for my leather needs. It will come with everything that comes with it new. It also has the belt maker kit which includes right and left single foot and edge guide. Plus the flat slotted needle plate. I want go into listing all the specs. I am sure everyone here are familiar with this machine. New price for CB 3200, table and servo motor is $1695.00. $185.00 for belt maker kit and $125.00 for flat needle plate. Total $2005.00 not counting Tax. I will take $1550.00. prefer it to be picked up locally. Anyone interested shoot me a message I am looking for a leather cobblers sewing machine like the Alders 30-7, singer 29k72 or something similar. Must be in good sewing condition and have the larger bobbin. If you have something lets talk. Ken Lutes Winchester Ky. 40391

I can see why no one uses them. But my customer keeps insisting on them.
-
Ok like I said I have a customer that insist that he wants snaps on his belt. i ordered the 24 line snaps. Is this really what people are using on belts? They are bulky and come apart way to easy. Plus they make the total belt to thick in that area. Surely they are a better snap than these. Need help I ordered them from Weavers.

Fantastic work. Your Dad will be proud!

Thanks Richard that is the type of information i was hoping for. I always rivet my belts but a customer has a large amount of old buckles and wants to be able to change them out.

i know this is probably been hashed to death. But who makes the best snaps fir belts and what size. I havent used snaps before and a customer wants them on his belt. just want to get the right ones first. Thanks Ken

I am attempting to make my first briefcase. i am using Herman Oak Latigo finished leather. the inside will not be lined. going for a more rustic look and feel. the gussets will be turned in. folded in. My question is i am thinking that I need to work some extra oil and waxes in to the gussets to prevent cracking and assist in softer to work while shaping and sewing. What leather conditioner would you recommend. i tried Obenaufs leather preservative which is a great product but it allowed the prefinish to keep rubbing off, espeially on the inside. Plus what finish would you use on the outside of finished bag. Thanks ahead for any replys.

I have been looking at the table top 6 inch leather splitter. Would appreciate any comments on how good they work for reducing thickness for small straps and tapering the ends of belts. Thanks Ken

Alright alright! Bob with Toledo leather which is where I bough the machine got the problem figured out. He walked me through a couple of adjustment that got everything back in alignment. Thanks for walking me through the adjustments so not have to drive 6 hours to get it looked at. I really like this machine. Thanks a lot Bob
