  3. THank you all for your ideas and PDF files!! So my next question is can you sew the bottom part on a sewing machine? There must is a quicker way to do this, I 'm looking at making a whole bunch of these cases....Currently using the Adler 205-64 and the Junker nad RUH
  4. Hello Everyone. I seem to be getting a lot of requests to make custom leather cases for digital camera's. I started to make one then saw the issue of how to sew the bottom of the case to the side... I'm lost here as It kinda look like you sewing the bottom and the side sideways... here is an image showing what I would like to do. pls PM me if you have made cases before. There was a fella to made a couple but I cannot find him. THanks
  5. Stunning but you lost me on country twang Sheridan on Japanese sword Shealth!?!
  6. The design your followed looks right down to a tee. The original Possible bags would not have been made out of seude though. Even though yours is Elk, the pouch looks flimezy, and doe not look like it would hold the form properly. You'll see when you put items in there. I would use 4-5 oz tanning the surface side with eath mixed in with neetsfoot oil to darken and dye it better. You whole piece should match all together in terms of colour scheme. Great attempt!
  7. You looking at a cast iron welting hand crank tool. Used for making impression around and shoes. This is a older Vintage machine which is exceptional condition. American S. N. & T. Co. Made of cast iron and steel (with wood handle), there is no damage anywhere (no cracks, chips, breaks or repairs), there is some wear to original paint and just a bit of surface rust. A well made leather working tool. Payment in cash or through Paypal. This item is being sold in in "As is condition." Tippmann embosser

Yes Tippmann is the way to go but far to pricy for my liking. I do not like the tandy. I want the ability to crease as well to emboss. We are coming out with our own hand drawn turned into embossed designs...
  11. Neets foot oil look best when you tan the leather with it in the sun, it offer a nice burnt orange colour. Then add the antique stuff on after but you'll have to play around, do not leave on the gel too long as it hardens and cracks after your done you project.
  12. In need of a tippmann embosser to launch a new line of belts. if you know anyone selling pls do let me know. I would be making payment with PayPal. P.M me pls SOC
  13. First attempt in making an electricians tool pouch. Looks easy but a lot of varibles to look at when constructing especially with rivets. I started out banging in splash rivets by hand. Soon noticing there would be areas I could not bang them in. Since I want to make more in the future I went out a bought what I think is a late 18th early 19th century solid cast iron Rivet kick press. It works like a charm offering more than a mallet and splash tool can offer. I added one coat of neetsfoot oil and two coats of silicone Saddle oil to darken and repel from rain. Again first attempt. I welcome all feedback! Stephen www.greenmanleather.ca
  14. Your work is truely inspiring! Great attention to detail everything looks even and spaced out as it would on a motorhead patch. My only concern or thought is what you used to encase the dye against rain dampness etc. I would use the neatlac as it gives an amazing glazed look. Possibly use a silicone or bees wax to repel water? The rivets may rust.. It finally great to see something not Sheridan art! Well done!!

    Junker RUH SD 28

I'm interested in swapping my Junker and RUh SD 28 Hand Crank sewing machine for a Rotary Hand crank hole punch for belt hole making. Or if you have an embossing Tipmann Machine or Weaver creaser for belts the one with 1/4 to 2 inch creasing capability. The Junker and Ruh SD 28 is an old and rare Bench machine, sewing up to 1/2 inch of leather. It sews to the right and very ideal for wetforming sewing as well for Knife Gun holsters. I have an extra one and thought to offer it to someone with one of the items I am in need of. Pls P.M me if interested or call 647-637-5229 Stephen.

I bought all my leather Machiney here. I hada look at your website. It looks more like your a custom person. Doing anything order people require. Making sure you take pictures of everything you do. I would get a product list up showing a variety of products for sale, offering again a variety of leather services. Knife scabbard section etc.You look like your very decent with the craving knife and people always want an art piece. So perhaps having and art section on your site. You write up on yourself is great as it adds a more personal touch. I know a couple people with do website design and who be of help. One in canada so you save more as its in Canadian dollars. My website is www.greenmanleather.ca the bulk of our sales is from belt and custom orders. My sustom section needs more work too. We need to be as descriptive as possible from selling leather goods. almost like painting a picture of the most amazing product they need to have! When having a website site its all about having the rgiht ketwords attached to your site so when people do a search they will find you! I wrote hundreds of key words on a word doc and sent it to the web maker to attached to my site, Linking your website promotes you better and you get better hits when connected with other sites. 24. Hello, Personally I do not dye the inside of my holsters nor do any of my customers ask or even comment on it they just accept it the way it is constructed. I found it hard when dyeing the inside as I used more dye due the leather being dry and just soaking it up. I use neetsfootoil and spray the inside le the sun tan it for a doy or two then dye the outer side. I worried that the dye may come of on the blade or gun. hope this answers your question. Stephen
  25. Yes they are Henry's Pics. I wanted to hear antother thought about how the machine performs and what price people bought one for. SOC
