  1. ya just amazing, I wish there was a video feed of the event!! Amzing how talented people can be AND to have old machiner to be modifed to punch out a heart beat!!!! sign me up!
  2. I have been reading a lot of threads sprinkled with people talking about how amazing their British United Shoe Machinery machines are still in operation after all this time. I thought perhaps folks would be interested in doing a show an tell on what they have, where they bought the machine and what application they are using it for. As a machine bench tool collector from a time long past I think its important to show the images of what you have and prompte more awareness to the machines that powered our trade many years ago! All I have is a manual showing the complete line of machines this company made. Real images would be great! The British were leaders of the industrial revolution and their machine created at the time were their legacy! I only have a Pearson 6 harness machine, a commonly use machine and built like no other. I have not logged enough hours on the machine but I hope to soon when orders slow down.
  3. Ray the stitch look simply amazing. Almost likt a slight ornate twist to it! You should take images of the true antique leather machinery. Your finds are quite amazing. TIme to make a trip out and go hunting with you!
  4. Thanks Wiz, But we declined our interest when you called me a Troll. We were looking at the strap cutter and your sewing machine for sale. Best of luck, As a business operator we always excell to the best customer service, Calling a potential customer a Troll is a good way to not make ANY money.
  5. Same here the 800 nr's not working and no return in email, pity though as this machine looks 1000 times better than th Boss and looks very portable. USA made too! It is not worh buying if they are not making them anymore....
  6. We are actually thinking of this machine for ourselves, hence asking about the price We are familar with Randall and its outstanding quality in machinery. I needed more info on why it was priced the amount it was. I am a Leather Worker and at times selling l machinery but I would not say I am a dealer. Sorry to "Troll"
  7. I just wanted to know why the value was high. We sell Italian strap cutters for less. Merely curious!
  8. Hello everyone, I have a Singer 144w103 which requires a threrad retainer part, as currently the thread when sewing fast jump up and latches unto the tension knob creating bad stitches. The Singer part number is 210959 but I have been told its no longer made, so now i am looking for old stock on this part. ASAP if possible. Can make arrangments through PayPal. The part itself looks like a round knob which is attached either unto the metal metal or from the left side where two different sized screws are ment to hold it in place. anyhow please email any info you may have, include images if you do have the part, either to gml-@sympatico.ca or to sales@greenmanleather.ca thank you!

  10. What about the older needle feeding system where the neeedle moves ahead and pulls the leather through... Its what the Pearson 6, Junk Ruh sd 28 and the adler 205-64 uses and by far is the best sewing operation I have ever used. barely marked the leather too..

  12. I want to give a shout out to Dan Naegle at Campbell Randall. Living in Ontario Canada we are saturated with over priced parts/machinery on items used in the leather industry. I grew frustrated with overly priced parts and the lack of customer service here. So we searched online and found Campbell Randall. Over the past 2 years Green Man Leather Inc has had the pleasure to use Campbell Randall to re fit parts on our Italian and USA machinery. Whether it be custom or regular used parts on our older machinery. Dan is always able to source the parts for us. I find Randall quite knowable on ALL leather machinery, the quality made parts we found were competitively priced and the customer service is always outstanding. If you have industrial machinery like us or starting out with hobby machinery Dan is you man to help get you started. We are proud to buy our leather parts from a USA company! I think it’s important to recognise the staff at Campbell Randall for their excellence in customer service and their contributions to our leather industry! On behalf of Green Man Leather Inc we tip our beaver tail hat off to you!
  13. I think Adler is the best in terms of parts and how the machine is constructed. Especially the older style with the needle feed system. 1000 better than any walking for AND barely marks the leather,I mainly use a 205-64 and would not be without it, Parts are costly but I think it is worth it given the work we do. Glad you bought an Adler!
  14. You did an amazing job on this piece. But would be great to add more info, weight of leather, how you constructed it etc. Its look x10 better then what i see in the stores! Good job man!
  15. Cobra is a Chinese copied model correct? I need to clarify as some of my customer and asking about my thoughts on them and i have none other to buy Adler. I see the set up looks verymuch like the Adler 205-64. Anyone have info on Cobra?
  16. Beautiful but very high even for todays current machinery costs. Is it because its a Randall? We are looking for another Strap cutting machine But Could not come close to the asking price.
  17. Campbell Randal is the best, just got my new parts for my machnery and all are working EVEN BETTER THAN BEFORE!!! DAN ROCKS!

  20. Hello I have an excellent example of a leather shoe channeler, can be used for a variety of applications Everything is fully operational, and turn over very nicely. It is missing a tooth on one of the cog wheels but does not affect its operation. Can be used with the Pederson or Junker RUh sd 28. One blade comes with the machine cutting a slit in the leather for hiding the stitches. I am open to offers and swaps if you have a Krebs splitter..
  21. Selling a rare leather Channeler...anyone interested?

  22. Yes Tat2 I agree I really like using the very same machinery you say your use. Well made parts available and the quality especially from Italy is the best! Never used anthing from China But I would suggest sticking to what you know and are familiar with!
  23. ya one really needs speace for all the hardware and tools, bench tools etc etc I went out and bought a couple Husky steel drawer storage from Home depot. I found I was better enabled to organize per product, have clicker dies and embossing dies by the press. Go big or go home really. This trade is massive and you are always buying tools and machinery. Build something high to the ceiling to hold your hardware. I use honey jars and fill them with hardware we use all the time. I have two Teachers tables, built a wooden storage for the tools I use all the time so its in front of me. Sewing machine behine hte main table for quick access. Then all my belt tools, Strap cutter, beveler etc on one table so you are not runing back and forth all the time. I found a 8 foot table used in a childrens home, steel lages so I hold the heavier bench machines. I use my basement , my wife objected but when the moeny came in she relaxed a bit! Space is great maximize the most of what you have! Hope this helps you.
  24. MAN I AM KICKING MYSELF!! Bought a Singer 144w103 Then this beauty popped up. KICK KICK KICK!!
  25. Afterlooking at your work you may weant to think about buying and Adler 205-64, needle feed, will not mark hte leather much. Better foot control too! My videos on the machine. I can also make arrangment for a machine of this model to be shipped to you.
