  6. I am looking for a pull through strap edger. the image supplied shows a model which weaver leather is currently selling. It retails for a whopping 900USD. I feel this price tuggin at my spleen so I know its over priced. I know a company had a strap edging tool caled "Barry" but the trail ended at that. I know a couple other places are selling them but looking to find out who they are. I also found the supplier which sell ths bench machine to weaver but they have not answered my email as of yet. So if anyone knows who else is making this product I would love to know and have a couple folks looking to buy but certainly not at the prices currently seen. Please P.M me and often its crazy to find a post left up here! gml-@sympatico.ca 647-637-5229

Perhaps I put toooooo much balc in then not enought alcohol. I would be very greatful to anyones thought on how to make a decent tone of grey. www.greenmanleather.ca

  15. For sale is a very rare to find Randall (least that's what Randall machines said) dbl lined belt creaser. its in fantastic used condition. Hand crank operated. Fits leather strap from 1/2 to 1 3/4 inches wide! Creases a double lined top and bottom border. Two keyed slots on the machine allowing for leather embossing as well. Strudy and solid cast iron in construction. This Machine must be mounted upon a bench table where a 7 by 4 inch hole can be cut. Allowing for the provided strap to be mounted on a wooden board, putting foot pressure squeezes the top and bottom creates pressure thus making this rare machine work quite amazingly. The creaser has no makers marks but I am told it is of Randall design roughly around 1870's in creation. I have given the creaser an extensive cleaning and everything appears to be fully operational. One can arrange for shipping I assure you this sucker would be wrapped most securely and shipped with Insurance. Or local folks can collect it personally! 800.00 USD plus shipping with insurance or best offer Serious enquires only. p.m me
  16. Good morning! I was an adler 205-64 which sewed like a charm offering the best stitches I have ever seen. I bought three 346 spools from Weaver leather and it seems now the tenision is off BIG TIME. I had attempted to adjust the tenison but nothing seems to be working. I called Weaver and they said all their thread comes this ways so it glides through the leather easier. They suggested I buy a wax pot which would solve this problem, But It does not make sense. If other folks are using this kind of thread I'd love to know how one can correct the tenision. Its getting exhausting with handsewing and an expensive piece of hardware now just sitting there..... I know the black knob at the top of the machine creates the tenision then there is another knob which has no effect. the Manual is bloody useless so please help!! Thanks Stephen

  21. I'm on the hunt for a Pearson, British United Shoe Machinery bobbin winder. I lucked out with finding a Harness machine for peanuts in ONTARIO Canada but now need the winder. its the little fella off to the right on the image. Using a drill to wind up the bobbins is no good as well the winder looks to be amzing in design. I have attached an image to inspire those who like to help in the hunt! Many thanks for your help! Stephen
  22. recently bought a Pearson 6 harness stitcher and a leather creaser both for 700.00CAD indeed a deal of a century. I dought the son really knew the true value of the machines, merely wanted to clean up the garage and make some money! The ad was on www.kijiji.ca. the fellow selling it was the son of a harness maker who past away. The machine was excellent running condition but in poor condition and required extensive cleaning and painting in order to bring it back to its splendour and operational. Someone posted an ad here stating the pearson will sew up to 1/2 of leather. To clarify It WILL sew up to 1 1/4 thickness. This machine was intended to sew heavy duty horse tugs and such. The stitch is in a class of its own! Its a fantastic machine and at a price I could buy it at. The other is what im told possibly to be a Randall lether creaser. only has the DBL lined creaser. alot of surface rust but was cleaned up very very nicely. I'm also told the date is around 1880's give or take... It's truely amazing what treasures are out there. All you need to do is put it out to the universe as to what you want and alloy everything to come together for you!
  23. Hey I found this leather creaser for a steal in Huntsville ONTario, CANADA, there is not makers mark on it, but cleaned very well and fully operational! Only has a dbl lined creaser on it from 1/4 -1 1/2 Wanted to know if anyone had info on the date of when it may have been made and or who made it. It was left to die and rust in the outdoor before I saved it. Amazing what elbow grease can do to revive it. I also got a steal of a deal for a Pearson 6 harness stitcher both for 700CAD when you convert its still the deal of a century!!! the serial number is shown in the image. I wonder how one can tell the date of it. Henry the master man of leather machinery says is may be 1915 but I was hoping for a firmer date....
