  1. My business www.greenmanleather.ca is in the blue print phase of working on a leather bench tool created for leather hand sewing users. I am simply interested to know if you prefer using a machine or handsewing! From getting er done to taking your time to ensure everystich is perfect which are YOU? Many thanks for all your input!
  2. I know weapons are taboo with laws and on this forum but its a huge part of my business lately, Here is a custom job for a Denver Texan Sap I did not want to "copy" another persons work so I cut the shape out to how I think the user would want it. 3 ply 10 oz leather butt hide already tanned in black, Three custom 5mm thick steel plates throughout the Sap more more weight, .65 the final weight came to and sewed on the Pearson 6 harness machine. Took two attempts to get the sewng proper. I also attached a loop strap for the grip. Steel rivets to attach it. Over all I think it worked out rather well, the Pearson no 6 or as I call it the "Iron Beast." needs a bit of taming as the sewing can go off track if your not paying attention. I sanded down the edges with a flap wheel on the grinder trying to get the uniform look and took advice to using saddle soap to burnish the edges. Man that was fun to see a suggestion work out! Even when striking with a small amount of force this weapon proves quite effective. Feedback welcome and enjoy!
  3. Nicely done I like how the colouring matches the blade handle, all coolurs appear to flow!
  4. need to make a harness for my child so I can keep working!

  5. SOLD! 647-637-5229 Stephen
  6. You can buy a loop iron where the iron helps form the belt keeper and look very nice. Tandys keeprs ARE not worht a comment. I bought a manual decorative stapler from Campbell Randall, Cost 485! BUT Italian! A lof of money but I though it was worth it and the staple looks mighty nice! best to make as your thought of a 1.5 width will differ from another persons width, take tandy they say its a 1.5 width but 1mm shy of the width for the buckle so the leather will slide through. best of luck
  7. So you still have options. Contact your Credit card provider and make a dispute, stop the payment stating you have not received the goods. If its Paypal check the date and deadline you can dispute not getting your machine and have the funds returned, Go to the place you bought it and demand a full refund. We can assist you in another supplier in your area for another machine Contact artisan and ask if the part was indeed ordered and ask what the delay is. To be honest no mater what country the part is coming from it should NEVER take that long to arrive. List the business on a friendly leather affiliated Leather forum so othesr are not bitten by this business. I sell machines on occaision when a customer needs me to set them up. Sourcing a machine in need does not take a lot of time, nor does shipping in these days where shippers are fighting for your money. Really sorry to hear your have not gotten your machine, You must be quite agitated as I know I would be through the roof about now. Nothing like waiting endlessly.. Look into your options as a customer not receiving the goods, take action and control of the situation! Good luck
  8. My experience with delays from a shipper is 1 they sold something not in stock and had to wait until the machine arrived from their supplier or 2 just too dang slow.... 2 monthes is just way too long for a customer to have to wait... bought preowned or new?
  9. Ya the issue with setting a curse or even stating you put a curse encourages bad energy to find you and then you have the misfortune of having it back in 3 fold. Great advice, we learn too from our errors. Paypal and money up front then the goods are sent out. I would call him too. the fact that he is making money off it now by reselling after not even paying is down right dirty
  10. Selling a R-74 rotary hole punch machine, used under a year and now upgrading equipement. The machine has been taken care off. excellent for punching strap at a variety of intervals. 647-637-5229 Stephen
  11. selling my rotary hole punch R-74 if there are any takers...657-637-6229

  12. Who can make a 5 oval hole belt clicker die?

  13. P.M if you know who can make 5 oval punches 1 inch apart for belts, and if a centre guide can be attached to adjust to different strap width please!

  14. Did YOU know PayPal has a 800 number??? Just found it online, cheeky cheeky 1-888-221-1161

  15. What everyone else said, but to be specific you really created a decent functioning sheath for your knife and other bits. You can start a fire and sharpen your blade with the tools provided. I alsolike the rectangular cut of the shealth. Again different and makes the whole product stand out better. I have been playing around with an rectangular design, I have a steel fire started with antler handle. But I did not think about a steel to add in. Did you apply beeswax? Excellent work it seems a lot of attention was put into it!
  16. Certainly an A for effort. If you want a different closure from the snaps I would suggest a Sam Browne closure. adds a better touch and you can get them in nickel plating or solid brass. If your up for feedback I would sand the edges of the top flap smoothing out the edges.
  17. Wizcrafts nothing wrong with replying to old threads you see its how infomation gets stored on this forum so others who are reading obtain all the info they require regardless of old or new threads! NOW WHO IS THE TROLL!
  18. note to self: Ckeck out UK frieght B4 buying an BUSM Antique leather hole punch machine!!

  19. Mine does not have reverse either. Singer, you are right the olde machine have monster 1/4 inside feet!! if you ever need parts ask Ray with Singer online, He found me two really really hard to find parts and charged only 20. worth looking into if you are ever stuck!
  20. I would spent up to 1000 on your first machine. You need to think about if you want to use a flatbed or cylinder arm machine. Large to XL bobbin for longer passes. Ensure the machine still has parts available. Sewing a thickness up to 1/2 would be most acceptable. As you progress and get better with sewing you can try more advanced appilcations. Then you need to look at what brand.... I use the Adler 205-64, 1/2 lift, needle feed machine for most of my work. Fabulous machine. Singer 144w103 for Flat work has a 3/4 lift walking foot. You also want to look at not marking the leather which comes with practice. BUY from a dealer who knows what they are talking about. Take your time and ask all the Q's you need in order to buy your first sewing machine! Good luck!
  21. worth it when you can slow the sewing machine down. I was scared of my Adler for a long time. I would apply foot pressure on the pad and the sucker took off faster than Mustang! The V belts are a pain to see which one will fit. I bought 5 and tested them out until I found to correct one. What are you sewing on your Singer? I hear the servo motors are pretty decent too, allow you to set the output of speed. Never tried one and pretty costly. You made out well with what you spent. REAL MEN SEW!!!
  22. I sent a P.M to you. Contact www.seick.de he can either mill down 1mm so his punches fit into the 11mm shaft or make you some. Decent person. I just bought a BUSM too and once I have the machine I was going to sent the existing punch to him. Dan at Campbell randall I think can also make an adapter for the R-74 punches. How do you like the BUSM hole punch? Easy to operate and adjust?
  23. My Adler 205-64 and Singer 144w103 getting a tune up and fitted with flip up guide attachments!

  24. C'mon I am sure there are a lot of BUSM machine users! Ok I just recently aquired a BUSM Strap hole punch in England. Having it sent over now. Needs a rucst cleaning and possible paint but i like the old look of this machine. Enjoy!
  25. Really great find brother! You seem to be in an area where are the great older tools and machines are located!! I recently aquired a BUSM strap hole punch. I put up a post on BUSM machinery you shoulf add your images on it.
