  1. If I bought 12 power units with glasses, TLF number 2019-00, at the club price of 5.59 each, it would come to 73.63 after 9.75% tax added. This wouls be a total of 85.39 canadian. Plus shipping to the border and re-shipping at the border to advoid customs..... You are getting yourself a deal at 84 total.....
  2. How about those of you in here posting some graphical pictures of your bleed knots and the leather used to make them. I am most interested in the leather used to attach the slotted conchos... The different looks, and how to finish the leather once it is in place... ie: the ends and such...
  3. Anyone out there know of any software out there that will assist in the making of leather goods, goods from bags to garments.....
  4. Well, I for one get annoyed at stupid questions like, Does 1 plus 1 equal 3? As long as that doesnt happen, i dont see us having any problems.... LOL Welcome to the group... Mike
  5. I have always used the wing dividers to round out corners and stuff... I will try the CD or Tuna can.... my biggest issue was cutting the rounded corner after I got it marked... I ended up ising a single 3/16 braid hole punch to cut the corners off with... is a bit or work but it maked it even and always on the line...
  6. My machine is older, 1940's and has a removable motor. You remove the motor and replace it with a hand crank. Very nice.... I cannot hand crank it when the motor is attached because the "hand wheel" just slips on the clutch... I add the hand crank (which actually turns the hand wheel) and it stitches fine.... Go figure... Pic is attached...
  7. Dale, Where did you find this pattern? As you can see from my name, I like wolves, so i would liek to get my hands on this pattern. Thanks Mike
  8. Sorry if my post sounded like I was asking for someone to do my seat for me, I was not, I was asking if anyone had experiance with re-covering factory OEM seats.
  9. I am interested to know if you have done any recovers.... I have a 98 Honda Magna, with the main seat and passenger seat as two parts, and I would like to recover it this spring and make it look good. I have already covered my tank with a chap and added other lether to the bike as well. I just dont know about seats.... I dont want to pull my seats apart and not be able to recover them and a month later not have a bike to ride... Any info that can be given would be great. Mike
  10. Art of handsewing page 47... Someone else on another board clued me into where it was.... Turned out that the piece I was tooling I tooled a bit too hard and it cut through... so i had to go back to the first piece that I started that was just a hair too wide, so it overlapped and I used a wax thread to to a single sides handstitch. Turned out fairly well if I say so myself... I will add a pic tomorrow. Thanks guys for the help.

  13. I am making bags for bikes, and was asker the other day to make a bag for a guy for his windshield. It is a single hole mount bag, and the bag he has on it has a special bracket on the back and a flexible slat of metal inside the bag to keep it from sagging over time. I am attaching a pic I got from a web site of the back of the bag with the bracket. Alot of the custom windshields have a need for this bracket to keep them level and from spinning. Anyone know where I can get these so i can incorporate them into some windshield bags I intend to make in the future?
  14. I know I saw a how to in one of my books on a “baseball” stitch, but for the life of me I cannot find it in the books I have. What I am doing is replacing the vinyl covering on a mace a friend gave me for my birthday. It was a 5x8 piece of vinyl that was wrapped and glued to the handle and then wrapped with thread in a spiral from top to bottom. I removed this and intend to replace it with a 5x8 piece of tooled leather that I was to but up end to end and use lace to attach the two ends together. I cannot find anything other than hand sewing to do this and I do not want to hand sew this. The leather I am using is only 2-3 oz, and once it get tooled, it will still be a bit wet so when it is laced together it will be stretched a little. Any ideas or anyone know where a how to is for something like this? Thanks Mike
