  1. Thanks for sharing! I love the "frazier" & "pancho" --- I would love to make one of those designs for my pistol competition rig!
  2. Kind of a preposterous way to carry a GLOCK ... I can only imagine how uncomfortable that would be... but you know the saying: "the customer's always right..." I doubt the intersection of custom boot/holster makers on this site is very high...? Good luck!
  3. This is great. I never thought of doing it this way. Can one of the admins/mods pin this please?
  4. @ WIzard - Ha! I hand drill my holes for now, since I hand saddle-stitch. But I am thinking of getting a bench top drill press for my birthday for consistency's sake. I can't think of a faster or more cost effective way to make the stiching holes in 7/8 oz leather short of buying an expensive, stitching machine.
  5. I think it looks Great for a second holster - My second holster was far worse than my first because I tried to get "too" creative with too many "features". I especially like the different color belt loops - a nice touch. Your trial & error process will help you learn with each new holster. Just don't go too long in between projects, or you will lose a bit of the finer points...good job!
  6. Story behind the knife: I bought this back when I was 16 near Mesa Verde on a camping trip from a Native American. - I recently 'found' it in my parents basement while cleaning out some old things. It had a crappy vinyl & cardboard sheath so I made a new one. I am probably going to pull the blade and heat-treat it, and re-epoxy it back in the handle. I need to work on my edge burnishing skills, and all my holsters and sheaths are hand-sewn as I don't own a stitching machine. Everything I have learned over the past few years has been mostly gleaned off this site. Some of the work here is truly professional compared to my modest hobby work. :D C&C welcome - thanks for looking!
  7. WOW! an absolute work of art ... us neophyte tremble in the awe of your skills. I really like the idea of a "western styled" 1911 holster too ... Glad that the proceeds went to great cause too... Nice work!
  8. simply awesome. I love rigs with a crossdrawn second holster.
  9. Great work...I would be proud to own that rig! Attention to every little detail in the write-up is great.
  10. Truly exceptional work.... how do you get the perfectly square molded pouch on the folder sheath? Mine are much more rounded....or the shape of the knife. Do you use a press?
  11. nice design...what kind of knife does it carry...can't tall based on the handle alone:specool:
  12. Very nice design and craftmenship! one holster for CC in sumer, winter and range duty! Hopefully your customer will avoid the drawerful of holsters syndrome w/ this multi-faceted design!
