Hi Everyone I have enjoyed viewing the topics on this site for sometime, but once I turned creating leather goods from a hobby into a business, I knew it was time to join. I may at some point have a tip or two to help others, or need a few myself. My business is J. Scott Handcrafted. I am located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. A coastal town. I create watch bands, slim card holders and am beginning patters for shaving kits, mouse pads etc. I prefer to work from scratch or make a pattern for the work at hand. Next creation I start again with a fresh pattern. This is slower than using templates etc., but suits me at least for now. It also allows me to make small changes and keep the process of creating fresh, rather than same each time. My main leather is Kangaroo, which is quite popular here. I only sell within Australia, due to the issues of exporting Kangaroo leather (forms, permits etc.). Here is my site handmade leather goods Here are a few pics of the watch bands done recently. One is Australian Barramundi, One is Cane Toad, shrunken grain Sheep, which is my favourite. And last is snake. All four have Kangaroo under- lining.

Hello all, I have started making small leather projects after 40 yr hiatus. I am currently making items such as designer keychains, small notebooks, book covers such as bible covers, any book cover specially made, belts etc. You get the picture. I am a 68 yr old disabled vet looking to sell these items at a modest price, just enough to cover the price of materials. Any good ideas on how I could go about this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God Bless Entry Actions Report Entry

Hey there, my name's Lourenço and I have been posting here a few of my things from time to time for about a year now ,but I took new pics of some of my stuff, passport holders, wallets, card sleeves, belts, moleskine covers, etc, and I would like to share with you and know what you think about them. These were taken in my hometown of Porto, which, if you've never heard, you should definitely visit because it's beautiful http://www.europeanbestdestinations.com/top/europe-best-destinations-2014/ ,and the rest were taken in what is called the oldest village in Portugal, Ponte de Lima (Bridge of the Lima, wich is a river there) where I own a property, for some wine produtcion, orange trees, apple trees, etc, it's quite nice and peacefull. I have Instagram; @louraleather , if you want to check it out and maybe follow, it would be a pleasure! Anyway, hope you enjoy! Cheers, Lourenço
