I'm making a series of bags. This is the first one. It's big enough to fit most smart phones-- 7" long by 6" wide (18.5 X 14.5 cm). My sister loves it and wants to give it a home, so this one is no longer in my inventory! The design is Craftool Pro D2171. I haven't really done a "diaper" effect so I thought I'd try it out here to add interest and texture to the back. That's Angelus Rose you see as the lovely pink shade, and Clear Tokonole on those gorgeous smooth edges. Ritza Black thread, some red waxed linen on the zipper, and a metallic gold thread on the D-ring tabs.

I have found the more simple the image the harder it is to tool... this image took three tries to get it to look like I wanted.

Work in progress on a biker style of crest or emblem, on which I need to practice more on carving and dying. It feels like I've made so many mistakes on this, but everything is a learning process. I used some dark brown, black, and a little Bordeaux so far, but came away with a disappointingly streaky, and blotchy result. I have gone over the letters with white acrylic paint and will probably do more of that. I left the skull and horns as natural flesh colour since it looks somewhat like bone.

I've been a busy bee creating my own little world for the past year. I just realized I haven't updated my albums in a long time and I've created so much! I am having some problems uploading all the images but I will be adding what I can to my albums.

Finally got around to making myself a purse! I made it a bit big, but oh well. It measures 14x14 with 4in gussets. Zipper in the top. Strap pattern is from Don Gonzales and skull pattern is from Ride Hard Leather.

It's been awhile since I've posted anything. I've been fairly busy though! There's always room to grow so I am eternally grateful for everyone's input! I've been creating a lot of masks lately. Here's just a few.

Hey folks! I have an interesting question. A good friend and coworker of mine has asked if it is possible to wrap a Moose Skull in leather so it can be mounted on a wood plaque and hung on a wall. Yeah, a Moose Skull. I'm thinking of a thin veg tanned hide to wet form on it, but beyond that I'm at a loss. I've seen some folks talked about wet forming to a Skull using a vacuum. Anyone ever done something like this before. The Skull is about 4' wide at its widest point.. Thanks all! Rich

Made this one tonight. Not if I like this one as much as some of the others that I've done. It's 1.5" high. Chris

Just finished this one up a few minutes ago. 1.5" tall Chris

Here's a stamp I made today. I found the image online and thought it would make a cool leather stamp. Took about an hour to make start to finish and it's about 1 1/2" square. Chris

Two new bags recently completed by TaurusSeats. They are most suitable for H-D Softail models. All 100% handsitiched. One features the Black Widow spider. Second we call "Yorick", as it features the white skull. We've posted them for sale and, as usual, we see coments about the price... I am sure this sounds familiar to many forum members

I'm horrible at shading/shadowing. What tool is best to do this skull? I've been using craftool B200 to bevel but obviously don't want to use it for shading the entire thing. I thought about P206, a pear shader with no markings on it but I don't like the way it makes the skull look. Help!!
