I made this mini backpack for my niece. My oldest daughter saw it and said she would not mind having one lol. Well I secretly made her one while she was out at work. All was going fine until I was coming to the end of my stitching. I had stitched a panel backwards. Was not happy pulling thread late at night. The morning of the 24th  I was in the "zone" restitching my mistake, and it made it under the tree in time for Christmas morning,PHEW! The turquoise is 2-3 oz Venice Italian leather, veg 3-4 oz , Fiebings pro dye dark brown, antique brass hardware. Rhino waxed brown tread. 10 worn out finger tips!006.thumb.JPG.91cddf3c7f8a93a34bcee19c0e4b9a4f.JPG004.JPG.cbb9076dad9e1e837c63e52c77b9021d.JPG007.JPG.d8b1807d21f1e0ba1934fa5f6326635a.JPG

That is beautiful! I'm not surprised that your daughter loved it. And the love her father made it with?.. I bet she loved it more. :)

Good job! She'll be telling people for years "my dad made it for me". My daughter still uses the first bag I made her every day.

Looks really good . . . design, execution, ammenities . . .

But you are a better man than I . . . to do all that hand stitching.

I'm a machine guy . . .  no machine . . . no do. . . lol

May God bless,

Dwight

Thanks, I appreciate your comments, I have already got an order for one since Christmas. Maybe this time I will pay more attention to the direction I'm stitching:rofl:
