ducjes Report post Posted July 12, 2013 I'm very happy with my progress for starting leatherworking on May 1st. I'm still waiting for the arrival of the dremel cocobolo burnishers to clean up the edges a bit more.

ducjes Report post Posted July 15, 2013 nice! what is the cocobolo burnisher you speak of? got a link? Here is a link to the cocobolo burnishers for a dremel or drill. I highly recommend them. It makes burnishing a breeze.

LeatherLegion Report post Posted July 24, 2013 It actually looks better the way you have it right now...I wouldn't bother with the edges on this particular wallet !!!
WScott Report post Posted July 25, 2013 Gum trag and friction burnishing by hand or machine can make a nice edge on Horween leather
Jimbob Report post Posted July 26, 2013 Nice design, love the rustic loo....take some Fiebings saddle soap and a piece of cloth...rubb hard and finish with some beeswax...no need for a machine or such....ohh and put some dye on your edges too...cool wallet !!Well done... jbossartcustomgunleather Report post Posted July 26, 2013 I level my edges with a dremel sanding drum, and burnish with the cocobolo. Your work is looking good, I love the CXL on your other thread! If I didn't have a waterbuffalo hide wallet that will never wear out I would be bothering you to make me one! On another note, I checked out the website posted for the burnishers, I just found out I need a bear maul, did you guys see those???
