benlilly1 Report post Posted August 30, 2013 I chose a burly piece of leather for the base. Resisted the main piece of leather and antiqued the design. I used Briar Brown for the W and the corner pieces. Leather balmed it all. I hope they like it.

bwillielv Report post Posted September 2, 2013 That is very cool! What size is it?
benlilly1 Report post Posted September 2, 2013 The frame is 21" x 13". I had the option of turning it longways but thought it would be too squished and I'd have to come up with a different design to fit.

SouthernCross Report post Posted October 16, 2013 Benlily, would you share what antiquing technique you used?
benlilly1 Report post Posted October 16, 2013 SouthernCross, The main piece of leather is not dyed. I used super shene all over it and antiqued with the Eco flo antique gel since it wouldn't be open to the elements. I don't normally use the Eco flo but, I had it from a previous Tandy order so thought I would use it up.
