Really enjoy following your work, Jimi.  You and some of the others are an inspiration.  Makes me question my decision not to restore any more machines.

Nice one. Looks like you got a good one there jimi, mostly surface rust and dirt! That accessory plate looks like a neat idea, lots of holes for attaching all sorts of things.

Machines wot I have - Singer 51W59; Singer 331K4; Seiko STH-8BLD; Pfaff 335; CB4500.

Chinese shoe patcher; Singer 201K (old hand crank)

The best machine now is the Adler 669 of which I have one

That looks like a good modern 69/335 looking machine there Glenn. I am sure that costs an arm and a leg and maybe another leg.. but if it is well made then it will last for ages, that we know. Seems like in the photos of it, it has two tension units?? is that correct??, Jimi.

This is so awesome. I want to do this to a Singer or Adler patcher, hopefully soon B)

Hi Mike, thanks, your patcher will be a different ball game to this. there are a few posts on the patcher machines on this forum. here is one but it is not as extensive as this post. All the best and good luck, Jimi.

Hi Dikman, yes not a lot to do to this one, and the plate as usual came with no screws, but i tried the singer thumbscrews and seemed to work in a couple of them so it must be ??? oh cant remember the thread ??? 11/64 ???

Great job as usual Jimi.  You want to get the correct needle clamp screw as the one you have is sticking way out and that can be a problem if you are sewing something tight.  You ever put the correct wing screw and locking clamp on the base plate you made on the  on the older 335 you restored?  .  If Pfaff parts are to expensive for the Pfaff, go to Consew wingnut, clamp and screw from a 227 on the Pfaff.

You can get generic feet for the latest 335 you are doing cheap on eBay or College Sewing.

And yes, I have gotten needles with a sharp edge or burr in the eye.  It does happen.  Also, new generic bobbin case for 335 are fairly cheap to buy.

No i never put anything on there yet Glenn, i did not feel the need as the belt holds it down well enough. I could easily make one up from some steel plate but never got there, also i have seen them on Aliexpress i think??, it was cheap also. i did get feet and a couple of bobbin cases with bobbins there also but one has already popped the latch so they are not the best but okey to get you going until something better comes along. the feet are real tight also, not a good fit. I don´t know if college would have good fitting ones either?? they look like the same ones on Aliexpress?? I always try to find cheap original used parts if i can as they should work first time and no problems. As long as they are not to worn and that is where sometimes you take the gamble. Thanks for the info glenn. Regards, jimi.

One thing you may not know Jimi is the 335-17/B is a binder machine yes but it is a symmetric feed binder.  To make a it that kind of binder, you must use the cover plate the moves.  If not, the old plate with all the holes makes it a no binder machine or one you can install other items on that plate.  Symmetric feed binders are more rare and work better.
