Members billybopp Posted November 16, 2014 Members Report Posted November 16, 2014 The Flower duet from Lakme is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. Bar none. Quote
Members krappstein Posted November 16, 2014 Members Report Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) Beautiful indeed. If you prefer strings then maybe Bach's cello suites and violin concertos? Can't comment on opera, the only one I know is 'Carmen' by Bizet. Edited November 16, 2014 by krappstein Quote -- I love the smell of vinegaroon in the morning.--

Members MonicaJacobson Posted November 17, 2014 Members Report Posted November 17, 2014 Mark Knopfler, Tim O'Brien, Andy Irvine, Michelle Shocked, David Grisman, Fairport Convention, Crooked Still, Patrick Street.... blues... I must admit I'm not a music listener, though. My husband's the one who finds all the good music and turns it on. If it's on, I enjoy it. If it's not, I listen to audiobooks. Classics like Dickens mixed with modern fantasy like Brandon Sanderson, or British detective mysteries. Members Itch Posted November 17, 2014 Members Report Posted November 17, 2014 Music moves my soul.. If I want to get my feet moving Bob Marley, but from Muddy Waters to Bach count me in.. Taylor Swift and that sort I would have to pass, but we were talking about music . Quote Quality leather goods www.captain-itch.com www.Tennesseeholstercompany.com
Pounder Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 Got to take moment and thank everyone for the great tips on music. Soon as I finish some projects I will be on the hunt for some of these. Do like some Tom T. Hall, Kenny Rogers and Ed Bruce, the old country, this new stuff sucks.
