Members DavidKManuel Posted January 5, 2015 Members Report Posted January 5, 2015 Hello again, here is another of the projects I did for myself over the holiday break. I've been wanting to create an alternative for carrying some of my everyday items like phone, wallet, keys, earbuds, etc. that replaces the full pack I usually carry. I've tried this out and about a couple of times now and I am pleased with it. Let me know what you think. :-) Quote David Manuel Illustrator/Designer david.kevin.manuel@gmail.com www.davidkmanuel.com

Members tankerman1967 Posted January 6, 2015 Members Report Posted January 6, 2015 I like it a lot. Been thinking on the same line and been trying to decide on a pattern. I have about 30 in mind......will show mine off when I get time to make some Quote
Members DavidKManuel Posted January 6, 2015 Author Members Report Posted January 6, 2015 Thanks all. I look forward to seeing what you all make. @Eccho Just look at the first picture and you can see all the materials laid out next to a ruler. The rough dimensions of the carrying capacity are 7 inches circular by 3 inches deep. Quote David Manuel Illustrator/Designer david.kevin.manuel@gmail.com www.davidkmanuel.com
Members Madadh Posted January 6, 2015 Members Report Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) Looks close to a typical Rob Roy Sporran. Nice job. Members DavidKManuel Posted January 8, 2015 Author Members Report Posted January 8, 2015 Thanks to you all for commenting. I was reminded of a Rob Roy sporran too Madadh. I did this design after spending some time looking at the good work of Hamish Half-goat. http://half-goat-leatherwork.blogspot.com/ I find his blog to be inspiring. He has made some very nice items and on a trip to Scandinavia, tried his hand at blacksmithing. I may try that myself coming up. Members alfredleatherworks Posted January 10, 2015 Members Report Posted January 10, 2015 @DavidKManuel, That is a wonderful looking belt pouch! I too thought of a Rob Roy sporran when I first saw it. I really like how you've tooled it too, well done! Members Grey Drakkon Posted January 25, 2015 Members Report Posted January 25, 2015 That is gorgeous. Makes me want to give it a shot, and add in a carved stone "button" for the strings. Quote "Everyone with telekinesis, raise my hand!" -Repairman Jack
