Members Dave Richardson Posted January 14, 2016 Members Report Posted January 14, 2016 This is a small handbag I just finished up. Its 8x6x2 made from 10oz black latigo, open unlined interior with a mystry braid snap on handle. Fun project. Thanks for looking and comments are always appreciated. Members Colt W Knight Posted January 14, 2016 Members Report Posted January 14, 2016 Your simple handbag is way more intricate and complicated than the purses I make. I would like to see your not so simple bags. Quote

Members Chief Filipino Posted January 14, 2016 Members Report Posted January 14, 2016 Looks good! Is there a way to make your tooling stand out from the rest of the bag? Overall it is a really nice color but the tooling gets a little lost in all the black, unless of course that is what you were going for. This isn't quite so much a comment on your bag, as more of a general comment for my learning experience. Members MonicaJacobson Posted January 15, 2016 Members Report Posted January 15, 2016 Nice bag, I didn't realize you could tool latigo. Was it pre-dyed? Quote http://monicajacobson.com/ https://www.etsy.com/shop/TrimGoTrix?ref=si_shop
Members Dave Richardson Posted January 17, 2016 Author Members Report Posted January 17, 2016 Nice bag, I didn't realize you could tool latigo. Was it pre-dyed? Yes its drum dyed latigo. It actually tools really nice. I have some bags and holsters out there well over a year and a half and the tooling still looks crisp. The trade off is its hard to get detail to stand out with solid black. I'm influenced by amish leather workers so I like the black and nickel. Quote https://www.facebook.com/dave.richardson.35977
Members Wild Bill46 Posted January 18, 2016 Members Report Posted January 18, 2016 Nice Bag all around ! Being as it uses 10 oz. Latigo leather, and is only 6x8x2, How heavy is the total weight of this bag ? My wife likes leather bags, but, says they tend to get overly heavy ! Especially when lady loaded . lol --- Wild Bill46 Quote

We ride motorcycles and these bags are made for taking the basics along on the ride. The latigo is off 8 to 10 oz. Overall its not a full 10 oz. Thanks for looking...
