Members olenawills Posted June 2, 2016 Author Members Report Posted June 2, 2016 About handle attachment. This is the Piter Nitz Instagram photo. I tried to follow the same steps. Stitches are all way around, starting from the bottom. Quote
RockyAussie Posted June 2, 2016 Report Posted June 2, 2016 Thanks for the time you went to in your answer. I checked out Peter Nitz and am truly humbled. I wish I had competition close to that here in Australia. So very inspiring. Quote Wild Harry - Australian made leather goodsYouTube Channel Instagram
Buttons Posted June 7, 2016 Report Posted June 7, 2016 Beautiful work, thanks for all the detail photos. Quote
Members olenawills Posted June 9, 2016 Author Members Report Posted June 9, 2016 I realized just now, that I made a mistake in handle construction. Cord has to be in between the layers. Next bag going to be better I hope. Peter's photos are the best guide for me. Learned a lot just from looking at them over and over again. Example: Quote

Members Famah Posted June 22, 2016 Members Report Posted June 22, 2016 Gorgeous! Where did you buy the bonded leather for the inserts? Is that available in the garment district too? Also, may I ask what your favorite leather suppliers are? I've only just started out, and I've been to Global a few times, but nowhere else yet. Last question - do you crease the edges on your leather? I'm trying to figure out whether that's something I want to pursue or not. Quote
Members olenawills Posted June 22, 2016 Author Members Report Posted June 22, 2016 Guide sells bonded leather. About 20$ per yard. I go to Global leather often and to another store next door. http://www.leathersuedeskins.com yes, I do crease edges with electric tool. Quote
Members bdunne Posted June 23, 2016 Members Report Posted June 23, 2016 That is one awesome gift! How did you do the edges? They look fantastic! Quote
