OH and just a few simple 4 pocket wallets. I have a couple of new designs I want to try but have been nose to my stitching pony making holsters for months

Was hesitant to show the notebook one I carry, it's one of my first stitched projects.

We used to have to use a key card for a security gate so I made something I could slip the card in and out from a seat belted position and the wallet stays in the pocket.

Interesting detail work on the banjo and case.  Is it tooled and antiqued only, or did you use dye or paint to bring out the details?

Yes I used acrylic to help bring out the shadows.

This looks really sharp.  How did you attach the badge?  Just trying to imagine how it would be removed later, and if it would interfere at all with the cash pocket...

There is a pin that runs up and down on the badge. I designed the bezel so that there is a piece of leather that the pin goes through but there is a thin frame piece beneath it. So it takes a little work but you can slip the pin down in the cavity. The pin attachment is separate from the paper money interior. You dont see it from inside.

So think of a stack from top to bottom..

Thick Bezel frame

Full thin piece with holes for pin top and bottom

Thin bezel frame

Wallet interior piece.

I love it! What thickness is the kangaroo? How about the cowhide?

Thanks :)

Gotta make one for myself yet. Haha everyone else gets the good stuff I make.

The kangaroo comes really thin, which is perfect. This hide was about 0.8-1mm (2-2.5oz)

The cowhide was heavy stuff I had leftover from making some sheaths (started about 10oz), so i had to split it down. I got it to around 1.2mm (3oz).

Fiebings Kelly green, diluted with a little rubbing alcohol so the colour wouldn't get too dark after i oiled it.

Mine. One of the @JLSleather patterns. It may be the best wallet I've ever carried. Simple, adequate and 3-4 oz vegtan so it's gonna last. I've been carrying it for about 6 months now and my pocket has burnished it to a really nice gloss. I've also restitched it with black but I quite liked the yellow too.
