Boriqua Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 Pretty simple affair but since you asked! Not made for me just by me. I never have nice things! Recessed badge wallet which was part of a set. Need to look smart when gettin those bad guys. Quote
Boriqua Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 OH and just a few simple 4 pocket wallets. I have a couple of new designs I want to try but have been nose to my stitching pony making holsters for months Quote
Members Dun Posted February 2, 2018 Members Report Posted February 2, 2018 (edited) Was hesitant to show the notebook one I carry, it's one of my first stitched projects. We used to have to use a key card for a security gate so I made something I could slip the card in and out from a seat belted position and the wallet stays in the pocket. Interesting detail work on the banjo and case. Is it tooled and antiqued only, or did you use dye or paint to bring out the details? YinTx Yes I used acrylic to help bring out the shadows. Quote

Members TWells91 Posted February 7, 2018 Members Report Posted February 7, 2018 (edited) Here are a couple of my last ones. I'd consider the clutch to be a ladies wallet! Edited February 7, 2018 by TWells91 Quote

Just trying to imagine how it would be removed later, and if it would interfere at all with the cash pocket... YinTx Quote
Boriqua Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 There is a pin that runs up and down on the badge. I designed the bezel so that there is a piece of leather that the pin goes through but there is a thin frame piece beneath it. So it takes a little work but you can slip the pin down in the cavity. The pin attachment is separate from the paper money interior. You dont see it from inside. So think of a stack from top to bottom.. Thick Bezel frame Full thin piece with holes for pin top and bottom Thin bezel frame Wallet interior piece. Quote

Thanks Gotta make one for myself yet. Haha everyone else gets the good stuff I make. The kangaroo comes really thin, which is perfect. This hide was about 0.8-1mm (2-2.5oz) The cowhide was heavy stuff I had leftover from making some sheaths (started about 10oz), so i had to split it down. I got it to around 1.2mm (3oz). Quote

The green one needs the new right sized snaps i ordered yesterday re set and burnished. What did you use for the green? Quote
Members Deryk Posted February 11, 2018 Members Report Posted February 11, 2018 Fiebings Kelly green, diluted with a little rubbing alcohol so the colour wouldn't get too dark after i oiled it. Quote
Members battlemunky Posted February 11, 2018 Members Report Posted February 11, 2018 Mine. One of the @JLSleather patterns. It may be the best wallet I've ever carried. Simple, adequate and 3-4 oz vegtan so it's gonna last. I've been carrying it for about 6 months now and my pocket has burnished it to a really nice gloss. I've also restitched it with black but I quite liked the yellow too. Quote
