Very nice sheath work there, and a pretty knife as well.   Remind me not to live in AZ....73 rattle snakes...you said...Ill pass lol 

 

Looking forward to seeing the back as well.

I can't add to what's already been said, but that is a beautiful sheath for a sweet knife.

Hey Ryan - how did you do the inlaid rattlesnake skin?  Is it sandwiched between two layers of leather?  I think it’s a bit fragile so you wouldn’t want the knife rubbing directly against the snake skin - correct?  What weight and type leather and thread did you use?

Beautiful work.   I looked at the first picture and thought,  must be new to leatherwork.  When I scrolled down I literally broke out laughing.  I really like your design.

Yep. It's sandwiched between two pieces of 9 oz leather... not to mention the 9 oz back and 5 oz welt... so yeah... it's a bit thick. Thread was size 346.

Didn’t realize it was so thick!  Do you have a side view?
