garypl Report post Posted April 16, 2018 That’s a very nice bag, especially considering you are just starting out working with leather! What type leather, finish, etc., did you use? Always nice to share details on your projects so we can learn from each other! Gary
KingsCountyLeather Report post Posted April 16, 2018 Very nice! That must have taken you a while? Nice leather too. I like the design also, is it your own?
dGinLeatherCraft Report post Posted April 16, 2018 Good job - I like the design with the back pocket and the central divider
Double Daddy Report post Posted April 16, 2018 Yep, as Mutt said...she'll be able to use that for a good long while...probably pass it down to someone as an heirloom piece...can't put a value on something like that. Great craftsmanship!
scrapyarddog Report post Posted April 16, 2018 Lovely! People will ask her where she bought it! Been wanting to make bags for my boys. Your bag just gave me the determination to do it!
mike6642 Report post Posted April 16, 2018 The leather was a piece of oil tan , I bought the pattern on line and changed it for zipper pocket and 2 front pockets
mike6642 Report post Posted April 16, 2018 I apologize for just one picture, I erased the other pics, I found this pattern on line ,the pattern came with over 20 some pages and made this bag easy to make, on the back of back is a 3 inch flap with snaps for back pocket. I don't know if am allow to tell where I got pattern, if you seen my other bag then you can seen how I altered the pattern.

It is no sin telling where you got a pattern from (unless you stole it and that is the sin). Selling copies of it or otherwise distributing it if copyrighted is. mike6642 Report post Posted April 16, 2018 (edited) Okay I just didn't want to break any rules I it's attache case by K.E. Hockenberry, and it's 40 pages long and if I can do anyone can, the instructions are awesome, you print out the pattern then tape them together, I then used oak pattern paper to make a real good pattern.the best attache case pattern I found. http://www.bighousedaddy.com/ Edited April 16, 2018 by Northmount added link

Not a bad looking site. If the instructions are as good as you say, then I think it’s worth paying for the patterns. Thanks.
Double Daddy Report post Posted April 17, 2018 I've looked at that pattern several times myself...pondered over whether or not to invest in it or if the plans were worth the $S$ or decent in execution for the asking price...it's nice to see someone else's results...thanks for sharing the fact that you took the chance and that it clearly paid off. mike6642 Report post Posted April 17, 2018 The pattern, and instructions are great well worth the money, and as I did it's way to change pattern, from zipper pocket to flap, and instead of big front pocket I added 2 small pockets. There is 40 pages of instructions and pattern.
