Members LederRudi Posted May 29, 2018 Members Report Posted May 29, 2018 I tried to avoid the tedious chore of making a regular mold and experimented with kitchen Utensils. The glass of the bowls proved to be massive enough to withstand the pressure. What do you think? Quote
Members kiwican Posted May 29, 2018 Members Report Posted May 29, 2018 So that' a bowl over a bowl with the leather sandwiched in between? Quote
Members plinkercases Posted May 30, 2018 Members Report Posted May 30, 2018 I have used the same technique with the stacking cookware to mold (get them at the goodwill store for a buck or two). Looking forward to see what this turns into. Quote
Members Retswerb Posted May 30, 2018 Members Report Posted May 30, 2018 Very cool, @LederRudi! What do you plan to make with it? Quote
Members LederRudi Posted May 30, 2018 Author Members Report Posted May 30, 2018 Yes, Kiwican, this is my patented bowl over bowl press. It seems that Plinkercases somehow acquired my secret blueprint and put the technique to the test well before I did. Plinkercases, I don’t bear you a grudge because you made excellent use of MY method! Retswerb, I’ll turn the test material into a belt bag. I just have opened my PBP (Patented Bowl Press) and am again satisfied with the result. This time I’ve stolen Plinkercases’ modus operandi and produced a closed leather bowl which I’ll cut open and convert into pouch and top cover. Quote

Members ComputerDoctor Posted June 11, 2018 Members Report Posted June 11, 2018 I thought it was a 'Meatball' carrier. Very nice ideas Folks---now I'm searching the kitchen! Sam Quote
Members Ragingstallion Posted June 11, 2018 Members Report Posted June 11, 2018 hey that's a great idea. As long as the peace that you're using a sturdy enough so you can put pressure on it I don't see why you won't be able to get things like this to work. Some Tupperware that I come across as a little too flexible or flimsy but using bowls and hard containers or a brilliant idea. Thank you Quote
