Thanks,

the two sets do show the difference between pro (yours) and hobbyist (me)

but I am still in awe of yours :)

I appreciate that, but I am no pro at armor.  This was a steep learning curve for me too.  A bit of my techniques shine through on the armor, so it looks nice, but no matter who you are, these are a big undertaking.  Plus, you made all the pieces.  Mine is just a torso.

Wow! Ne plus ultra work, Mike! Incredible detail.

Have you regrown fingers yet?

Thank you!  My fingers are very calloused now and look like witches hands!

I just came across this on eBay ... It looks about right, and might be helpful if you ever do similar armor again!   https://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-Hand-made-Leather-Punch-Cobbler-Saddle-Maker/302989484499?hash=item468b94a1d3:g:0dEAAOSwhfRcDGRw

Billy, that thing is pretty cool.  Never saw anything like that, but I did have a clicker die made with 8 scales per click for this project.

This is outstanding - if you replaced the leather scales with bronze ones it would actually, likely be strong & crafted well enough for actual hoplite battle armor, to serve in  The phalanx.  Really impressive.
