That’s a nice looking holster Jeff!  Is elephant hide much more difficult to work with than thick veg tan, when used for stiffener?

Uh, yah... elephant is a bit of a pain.  Knife needs to be WAY sharp to cut cleanly, or the elephant tries to flex out of the way.  Great LOOK, and DURABLE stuff, but just requires a little patience to use.  The veg tan cow is easy to use.

Great looking holster!  The elephant hide will outlast the gun,  toughest hide I know of other than maybe shark.

Really nice, Jeff.

I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with.

Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day.

'Preciatecha  fellas ;)  Oh, I didn't get picks of that part of it, but the back panel of this was lined with tooling leather after it was dyed. :dunno:

Thanks ;)  I really like to TOOL leather too, but often holsters are made to be concealed ....
