Even if this has been posted before, it probably ought to be posted again: I recently moved, but when my stuff arrived, my granite block had somehow "disappeared". So I went to a local granite / marble countertop shop, told the guy my problem, and he even helped me dig through his scrap pile. Wound up with a lovely 26" x 18" x 1 3/8" perfectly flat polished granite tooling surface ABSOLUTELY at no charge. The guy even helped me put it in the back of my truck. While there, I picked up a couple of smaller pieces for use in tight spaces and so forth. Even if you think your local shops might cooperate, it's worth a try to find out - no?

I was getting ... better ... at regular basket weave stamping and figured I'd try out the tri-weave stamp I acquired. That experiment was a mess. Do you guys have tips for laying out this stamp? https://tandyleather.com/products/craftool-tri-weave-stamp

Hi all. I want to start foil stamping my company name and location onto my products. However, I am feeling challenged by the price of type. It seems that it is sold only in sets at $300 to $500 a set. But I only need 16 characters. Is there a stamp maker that sells individual characters to fit the Dream Factory hot foil machine? Art

What's this stamp number, that's been for the edge in marked circle? It seems I cannot find it anywhere, just other "grainy" stuff..

I have often toyed with the idea of making key fobs with horse breed stamps on them, intended to be sold at horse events. I have an engraving machine, so I am pretty sure that I can make the stamps myself, but I am not sure if I should try to make the stamps so that the logo is raised or depressed in the leather. The easiest thing machine wise would be to make the stamping so that the logo stands proud, like those old US cavalry stamps in the link below. the stamp itself will most likely end up being a diameter of say 1.25", so it hope that it won't require a super heavy pressing to work. But if I make the stamp the opposite way, so that the logo is pressed…

His tools are so awesome but spendy. I picked up a few stamps and bevelers and thought I would try this one as a backgrounder on the nex holster. Its dificult to keep strait but can be fudged a little to get it back in line. What would it be called? looks a little like scales?

I'm trying to get back into leather working after losing my tools in a house fire in 2019. I was going to grab a basic stamp set again but it's sold out on tandy's site and the only one I can find on ebay is $45 + shipping. Did they discontinue or is this just something funky?
