I just bought a singer 111w155 and it sews very nice. My biggest issue is the stitch length. The largest stitch I can get is 7spi. It has marks on the wheel of 5 spi but when the plunger is down it never goes past 7. Can anyone help?

Hello! I just acquired an old skiver and noticed that the feed roller has a slight wobble as its rotating. I took it apart to find that the roller driving shaft seems to be a bit worn down (it's no longer circular). Could the reason be for the wobble? I've attached some pictures. Any advice would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks, Michelle

So what is the prevailing wisdom out there? Do we shop for a new bed, try to get this one re-surfaced (and if so, how), or what? The clicker has been USED and is still in great shape, except that the bed has been worn down to the point that just about every "click" results in a stuck die. Of course this means that sometimes the piece gets stuck in the die and then possibly stretched out of shape on removal. Operating from the adage that "Money spent on tools doesn't count", where do I go and what do I do? Suggestions

I just brought home my clicker press. It turns it is a Hudson F 36/ L now my problem is that the seller has not found me the book. I have tried to find one on the internet and did have a PDF of one sent. BUT it seems to me that scanning it somehow blurred quite a bit of it so much of it is not readable. Also either not all was sent or this book does not have the instructions for what and how to use the 2 knobs above the power switch. It has all the parts list and how to assemble it and a trouble shooting page. I would very gladly pay anyone who has a book to photo copy it and mail it to me including postage.

What kind of splitter is this called? I feel like in order to make any small leather goods like wallets, this is almost essential. Smallest leather weight I have found is 3 oz which is approx 1.5mm. But in order to get consistent thickness and folded edges, manually won't work too well. Especially trying to pull thin leather thru splitter by hand. Anyone have specific splitter brands that perform list this one? Thanks, Brent

I have mostly shyed away from stamping because of being worried about messing up my piece. After a lot of searching I came across this little press in the .5 ton variety. It's not a great press. It's made in China these days and has some slop to it. I can deal with that for a hobby and a sticker price of just under 60 bucks. One of the cool things about it is it already has a dye hole drilled into the ram and it comes with three dyes I will probably never use. Kudos to Amazon for some super fast shipping. Now when I opened it up I checked all of my border type stamps against the hole in the ram. Nothing fit. That's ok. Recently Tandy came out with this…
