I'm gonna try recovering my stock Road King Seat as its seen over 80k worth of miles and I'm looking to bust my seat cherry. Where do I get new foam from? I'd like to tear my pre existing seat down to the pan and completely style something new. i just don;t know where to begin with the foam issue. Any suggestions? Travis Bad Love Leather

Sorry about the bad pics, But I only have my cell phone camera. I haven't posted anything in a while so I thought I would. A friend of mine asked me if I would make a seat for him, a tribute to his grandfather. He said all he wanted was his grandad's inititals, The years and the words strength and honor. This is what I came up with. He hasn't seen the design as he's refused to see it til it's done. I know there are quite a few flaws and imperfections, the most obvious being the backgrounding at the bottom of the "C" of the initials. if anyone has any tips on how I should fix this one in particular, please let me know. I'm doing it for free and he has said he doesn't c…

Sucker Punch is introducing a new model this year. It is based on a 1972 FLH frame (heavily modified) The frame is now a rigid with the axel centerline raised almost 2 inches. It makes for a really LOW bike....Anyway they requested a seat (regular padding and double loop) for the first one off the porduction line. The instructions were to do something like SuckerPunch 72 Sallys With rounded lettering.... not block style lettering or old English. Feedback welcome Dave Theobald

A buddy of mine calls me last Tuesday and says he's sending a seat pan for a bike he's putting in a show early next month. The artwork is with it and he needs it back by next Friday at the latest. I received it on Thursday and shipped it back to him yesterday afternoon. The last seat I covered for him was for a BSA he built and it won the semi-pro class at this show 2 years ago.He was invited to the Top 50 Builders show at Sturgis last year.

Biker Vest 1 2

This is my first Biker vest. I made the template and just started cutting. I made this one from 6-7 oz veg tan and a lamb skin liner. The front clips are detachable key rings. I just added a simple border tooling because this vest is getting MC Club patches. I am now going to start another vests for myself that is heavily carved and tooled. Yes it is going to take forever to break in but this guy will wear this vest everyday for years and years to come so I expect it may not take so long. While it was wet I rolled and rolled it to break the grain and heaviness so it had flexibility. I oiled it about 4 times and waxed it up.

I didn't think it turned out too bad. It sure takes a lot of hand stitching! I'm still thinking about making a pair of saddlebags, but haven't committed to tackling that yet.

American Flag Bandana Mask 5-6oz leather that I tooled, then soaked in a mixture of 1 gallon hot water from faucet and 1 cup ammonia. I let it sit for 5 minutes, then pat dried wet from surface and let it sit for 15 minutes before I started to form over a life size plastic skull I got on eBay. Once it dried I slicked the edge and used Angelus Acrylic paints. Now I will tape off edge and cover with newspaper then spray back with headliner glue and put 1mm neoprene for the lining and trim. Then rivet straps and ready to roll.
