Hi and thanks in advance for your advice! I've recently started designing cutting patterns in inkscape and I am wondering what do people usually cut their patterns from? I can print the test ones on regular A4, but then once the pattern has been tested and I'm happy with it, I would prefer to cut it out of something a bit harder. Do you use thick paper? Sheets of plastic? Anything else? Thanks!

ETW Grumpy hit me up with a really easy (like it took 10 minutes to make) pattern for a coin purse. Since my brain was about to be fried working on a much more complex pattern so I decided to take a break and tackle this one. Christmas is coming and I'd like to get as many easy to make/quick gift idea patterns out there as possible The print size is 8-1/2x11 coin purse.pdf

Quick and dirt cheap stitching pony we made as a diversion from working with leather only. It's made of a plank of pine wood from the local hardware store, three screws with nuts and a couple of wood screws. Took about an hour to build but it does its job well. A video of making it here . Pattern available here

I have been searching since Katrina ate my copy for a copy of the Tandy Leather Company long book called "Black Powder Bags & Pouches" by Steven Dodd Hughes. It was supposidely published in 1985 and had 19 pages. It contained patterns for hunting bags, a flint wallet, ball bag, shot bag, and possible additional patterns for other items. I have contacted Tandy and all they could find was the Gene Nolan book which I already have. If anyone has a copy that they would be interested in selling or copying the patterns and sending those to me I would be agreeable to make it worth their while. Thanks to all for helping. ---Arthur
