I thought I would share my list of resources that I've acquired during researching. Not sure if this topic is in the right place. What I would like to do is to get a moderator to 'Pin It' in the most suitable section in the Forums. When I read posts about almost any subject on here, I seem to spend ages trying to hunt down the easily obtainable equivalents to those mentioned in the post. Even if items are obtainable they tend to be very expensive if UK stocked and dispatched and generally out of the question if sent from the States. There are one or two examples of the reverse problem, I'm thinking of Dixon Tools and Tiger thread which you who live in USA find difficulties with. So what I am hoping for are lists of equivalents, suppliers posting with t…

I make rattlesnake hatbands using a 1/2" buckle set. A few years ago, I bought a lot from a dealer that was closing their shop. The buckle components were stamped and plated. I am now out. I want to find something inexpensive to replace what I have been using. (I paid $2 for each set.) I have tried a few suppliers, eBay, and Amazon, with no luck. I appreciate any help finding what I need.

Buckleguy has been our supplier for years and although we love the quality, their prices spiked significantly last year. Alibaba has been suggested to me a few times but it’s such a complex platform with SO many options I don’t know where to start or who to trust. Would be open to suggestions of companies to look into on AB who are trusted sources. Does anyone have any sources outside of the usual suspects? We’re in Canada but willing to purchase internationally.

Hello! I service and repair sewing machines in central Arkansas. Today I ran into a problem that I can't easily fix. An old Adler 405-64 that's been sitting in storage for a long time, was full of dirt dauber nests and rust. The presser bar had rusted so much that it has become one with the bushings. No amount of heat and beating could get it to release. So... does anyone know of any place where I can buy needle bar and top/bottom bushings? I'd really appreciate any help on this. If my info is correct, the part numbers are as follows: Bushing (top) 004-00-143. Presser bar 004-00-059. Lower bushing 064-00-038. Thank you very much! Toby Pederse…

Hello Guys, does anyone of you know the name of the company wich makes the "Jiffy Rivets" ?? I know that the company is from Belgium, but I couldn´t find the name in the internet. The reason why I´m asking is, that I ordered them from OTB and was quiet shocked how expensive the stuff was including shipping. I payed 65$ shipping to germany for a package of about 1.5 kg. From my point of view this is quiet much, because I had the same shipping fee at Tandy´s for a package wich was 5 times heavier. This is why I´m searching the name of this company, because why I should re-import the rivets to europe when they are produced here ?!? This seems a bit illogical to me. Hope s…
