  1. Just right quick an ammo carrier and a rifle sling....here in these woods all population older then 11 years old is getting ready to sit for hours in the cold damp woods to kill little big eyed Bambies...szzzzz.....and I provide the supplies for it...hohoooo.... 8-9 oz tooling leather for both items...

  3. Nice work, kinda raw and down to earth, like that....leather is a simple product and sometimes it makes sense to create simple things from it.... Looks like your bags will last for ever....U need to slow down on that maple leave stamped all over your stuff....hahaha... Great work, show us some more !!! Jimboob

  8. Hahaaa.....I had the same response ....whats that for???? I keep my wallet in my back pocket and hang two 45s on my shoulder harness....) cant defend yourself with 2 wallets.....but all joking aside, well made...looks like a lot of work...good job !!! Jimboob
  9. just read now....69 thread is way to small......use 138 a classic and rustic bag can go with big thread !!!
  10. Love the color, love the oil tan ? leather and love the style.... interresting design and welll executed.... some detail I have seen, cheap rivets make a cheap bag....use higher quality rivets or all sewn....your stitches look, and I couldbe dead wrong, to big for the thread u used....to big of a needle?....also wonder if you had to much top tension....I would have used tan or earth color for thread, where the bag is rolled and connected there needs to be re-enforcement so it wont tear on the seams. All in all a wonderful bag and very nicely made....again, I love thestyleand color!!! Well done!!!! jimboob
  11. Go to Diamond D custom leather.....they have exelllent pictures of this holster on a person!!! You can really tell how it goes together and what it will look like being worn!!! Hope that helps....mine is done sold and gone... Jimboob...
  12. Cool carving...right down my alley....nice solid piece...the Edges need sanding and buffing, burnished edges look soooo pro on anything...shoulder strap could have been cut more decorative....ahhhh and the liner, I have tons of horror stories about my liner misshaps...hehehee.. You done well, nice work...keep it up and show some more !! Jimboob
  13. Thank ya all for the nice words.....used Fiebings Tan antique paste....wondering if it came out to orangeish looking....next one in this style will be Fiebings med brown paste... I love to figure carve....all comes to live when the light shines on it at the right angle.... Thanks again !!
  14. Know the feeling, Love my machines dearly and they make it soooooo much easier!! Nice work you showing here !!
  15. Well, not much to it....I usually start with 1 inch hardware so the strap starts as a one inch it gradually turns after about mid-chest into 2 inch sometimes if requested into 2.5 inch often the strap does not have a curve as on this one! But on my shoulderholsters near the ankerpoint I have a light curve into it for better fit near shoulder blades....just make a straight template then draw a slight curve about 3/4 up the strap about 1 inch of to the side....easy....mirrow turn for other side. hope that helps a bit.... glad you like my work....thanks James

  21. A friend of mine has a brother and he is a retired Marine !!! So he wanted a birthday present for him....working on a shadow box, ( 20X16 )...added an American flag as backround ....now this leather carving goes in, will be attached with prominent brass bolts and as finishing touch the unfinished circle in the leather picture on the bottom will get a Marine corps metal emblem in red, blue and gold !! A thank you to him for his services and a thank you to all of you served this beautiful country... Jimboob
  22. A so called Toad...ahhhemm...I meant a Tote...custom ordered by my little girl for her second year of college....inside there is a macbook Pro foamed compartment sleeve and on the other side inside a compartment with snap for cell and such... On the outside she wanted a removable coin purse matching the bag. All is done with Springfield oil tanned leather in earth color, about 5-6 oz leather and sewn with 138 bonded Nylon on my Adler 105-64 She loved it, I am done with it and hopefully she will generate some business in college, when all the girls see it, hahaha... Jimbob
  23. I like chocolate....sweet....nice work...super clean....as always!!!
  24. Tension thingy is all about experience, you will learn that pretty fast and it is so easy to adjust....stay away from the bottom tension screw for now....make sure your thread is threaded right with no loops or snags....have it floating freely to your tension wheel and beyond....you will find out very soon that eventually the thickness of the leather will make your knots move in or out.....always keep the right needle in your machine and also the one that makes a stitch you like...( many different styles of needle heads ) speer, dagger, point and many more.... Keep your needle sharp or change when dull...dont use pre-waxed thread ...use bonded Nylon or Prop. Always use a number smaller on the bottom....helps to tighten the loops ( knots ) When I start a importand project, I use the exact same leather as scrap and run a few inches to see if the stitches look good..... Thanks for the praise on my website and shop....my mancave....haha...NO GIRLS allowed !! Have fun James
  25. Camano, tnx for the heads up and info,,,,the hardware will be a problem,,,,I see that...I am sure nobody has small items to scale....I guess we found out that it will be about a size 10-11 saddle going by scale...we'll have to see.... And TXAG, dont worry, I was just trying to be funny....according to my wife I am never are...and YEs my spelling sucks...haha....so I guess I have to spell stuff right to get good returns in searchings...will do better next time.... Now its off to the bench and read some old blueprints I found....guess I need to start thinking about making this saddle tree''' Ya all be god and tnx fer helbing mee....
