  1. My osbourne i have used since 1998 and it is still working great. I only hit it with a rawhide maul and I use a poundo board like surface on my bench to punch into. What did you hit that one with, the top is all mushroomed?

You lucky sew-in-sew. Don't run over your finger!

  3. If I could afford one this is what I would buy! That is a beautiful Plough gauge blade! Wonderful work!
  4. You could make this out of wood or plexiglass. the important thing is to make pins the same distance from the center hole. All pretty exact but it will then self center on any width belt. Someone hand could make one with no problems it is dirt simple elegant solution to get centered regardless of width. They sell these at woodworker supply. Here is the link to it.
  5. I measure the middle and then measure over from the previous hole and place the punch edge on the mark not try to center the punch over the mark. but maybe a hole fixture like they use in woodworking could be made for this... Just put the hole you made over the pin and the guide holds the punch at the right distance. Belt hole fixture.bmp

  7. Dear Sylvia you are the awesomeness! I wonder if I will be able to save this file to a thumbdrive and have the helpful people at Staples print it out for me. This is a great resource! Thank you for finding it and thanks to Damon for asking the question that brought this up.

  10. Have you tried a stack of firm wool buffing pads on a buffer? use a motor speed controller on the buffer though. Bob Parks has a good edge burnishing procedure pinned on here.
  11. Whew. All is well..

  12. Got an email reply from David S and as can be expected from this company with a great reputation all is being put right and the missing accessories are on the way to me. Top notch sales and service by people with common sense and the decency to put things right. They really do a great job there.
  13. It was operator error on my part when I broke a needle. I pulled on the thread instead of just holding it when starting up to stitch and it bent not broke but it sure broke when I tried to straighten it out.

I broke the needle on my new Cobra 4 and the machine did not come with the extras. it was also missing parts. Emailed Steve, he will make it right

  15. I got my Cobra 4 last wednesday but because I was away i couldn't unpack it until today. It looks great and was in perfect condition. Here is the but part. I am missing some accessories, the DVD and the extra needles. I started to check it out but broke a needle and now it is sitting silently until I hear back from Steve or David on monday. What size thread is that they used to sew the example that came with the machine anyhoo? I would like to order some thread like that. It is perfect for what I want to do first. I have to say that I am really dissappointed but I know that they have always made things right and will this time too.
  16. I found a bag at the thrift store and took it apart for a pattern. Maybe not the best way to go, but a cheap way.
