  1. I have one. I last used it more years ago than I want to remember (or that I can remember?)
  2. I ordered one from Jeff yesterday. It should be on the way. Really looking forward to using it.
  3. Excellent job with that punch. I have one, but can never get the holes lined up straight on a double layer belt. The back side is always crooked.
  4. The roller guide is really good for straight edges and long curves. It gave me trouble on sharp curves so I operate manually around them. Maybe with more practice I won't have to do that.
  5. Excellent work. Where did you get the belt buckle? I'm looking for some like that.
  6. Add me to the Utah list. Tremonton area Welcome aboard.
  7. Hays, doesn't your machine have more than one type of presser foot? The Cobra 4 has both a right and a left single presser foot as well as the traditional double foot. You can swap the single ones out without having to move the leather if you goof up and are about to run off the edge.
  8. For me, it helped to slow the machine down to speed #4 for holsters. Glue up some pieces of scrap leather with curves like a holster and practice sewing on them.
  9. Can you give a bit more detail on your vacuum setup. More pics, etc.
  10. Those look great. You should be quite pleased with them. What did you use to make them black, and what finish is on them?
  11. I had my local hardware store order me a full box of 6-32 nuts from Midwest Fastener. Much cheaper than buying them individually. You can't order from them yourself.
  12. I've tried to order from JRM several times as well and got nowhere. I haven't found what I want anywhere else, either.
  13. Very nice. What kind of glue did you use that let you get away without stitching?
  14. I've started using cotton balls tied up in of a piece of cotton cloth to apply my brown oil dye. It works better than daubers. I use a foam brush for the black dye. Eventually I will get an airbrush, but that will have to wait. I just finished this one the other day.
  15. why don't you make him a brand new scabbard, then he can keep the original intact and retain the value.
  16. I used vinegaroon on my last holster and the white nylon thread got some bleed off from it. Is there a way to prevent or minimize this?
  17. They meet in the middle. I just looked at one I am making now and there is no visible gap. There was a little gap before I folded the holster and began gluing the body together, but I didn't do it on purpose.
  18. RIght here on good old leatherworker.net: Reinforced IWB
  19. Thanks, Jeff. Coming from you, that means a lot. I wore the holster in the last pic for the first time yesterday with my M&P9c. It is the most comfortable IWB I have made.
  20. Has anyone made a notebook cover where the top can be folded over to the back so when using it to write, it takes up only a bit more room on the desk than the pad inside?
  21. I made a double mag holder once for my double stacked mags. It turned out OK, but not great. Because of the varying thickness of the mags, it didn't come out looking like I thought it would. The mags weren't lined up properly because of the way the leather formed around them. I haven't made a double one since.
  22. Thanks. I am currently wearing the new IWB. It is for my M&P 9c. I am pleased at how nice, and comfortable it is. Now I need to make more of them.
  23. I would be proud to own that, but maybe afraid to wear it for fear of dinging it up.
  24. I haven't posted pics for awhile. I just finished some holsters. Two IWBs for a Bodyguard .380 and a Glock 26. The third one is a deluxe IWB that I have been wanting to make since I found the plans here on Leatherworker. This is actually the second one, and also made with belly leather, but it turned out good, so I wanted to finish it properly.
  25. Thanks. This is what I need to build a sheath for. It belonged to my Grandfather. I hope mine is as good as yours.
