  2. Chris, What I would do is put the stone on the dining room table( thats my work bench) on top of cardbord size of bench you want top you want to set it into. Then you can move the stone to what feels right. Outline it. If hight is not right buld frame than do same thing and cut out to your drawn shape. the cardboard is template size of whole bench top. Hobo's way Joe st
  3. I ficked up mine fram aGranit company that had sut offs-Got to choose the colors that I liked for Free going back and see if i can get one for a cutting board. Be sure to tip the worker who lets you scanavge-- return trips are nice. Joe
  4. Lurker, I am way better at doing dreamcatchers than leather and I use Loctite super dlue precision max (clear- ribbed cap). I use it for the hanging strap and the webbing also for the beads and stones that are treated in the web plus the feathers. For my head bands i used it to secure the sponge and velcro fuzy side. I was sewing after glueing the velccro. I had to reposition one end and i had to use a scaple to shave the glue off. The hard nylon side of the velcro is hard to glue but it also held. Try a patch first,I think it would work for you. I use 6 Lb fishing line as thread myself. I lost some weight after retiring and my wedding band kept falling off so i used some artifical snew (spell check dont work) and used Loctite to hold the wraps and it with stands the water and soap. Any way give it a try. Joe St
  5. Hi, I was wondering how thick or weight they should be ? i also thought about doing them based on peoples leasure styles and for pratice and if they dont work out , I will coat them in some pourclen gunk and use them for skeet shooting. Thanks Stewart
  6. As you can see I did figure out away to do it. Cut lines with swivel knife That strp of leather must of been off the meanest Bull around.I would even say it must of been off a Mule from Missouri. cause it was stubborn as hell to work with. Stewart
  7. Hi, This is the reason for a hard time. I still have to neetsfoot it and add straps and padding. In side house is a mess because of workers so the chairs had to do. Wife reads fine print and could not add work area in the budget. Stewart

  9. Well now , let think!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh I guess i forgot what year was born any way my dad said he bought me from the Indians and when i turned 60 he said he was still looking for that indian to give me back to. I wish he found him I do need a new body at 63. AS a Greek uncle told me " cant tell how a greek feels by lookig at his body. Its what inside that counts" My scottish grandfather said " If you can fill the bags your donig fine" My German grandmother was to strict to say any thing and my dads father, an English man whoul have said "chin up old boy" But which chin ??????????? So where in the world is that blooming Indian ?????????? By the way Grocho and The guy that said "My little chickadee" what ever his name was are my heros. Oh i forgot what this topic was about-- have to get with wife and see if shee remebers if i can remeber where she is. No reason to call she can"t hear well anyway bye or have i said hello yet. What ever my name is ____ @#$%
  10. Ann, No the are Sand Hill Cranes that come buy to show off new born. We have Bird and squrral feeders nad they eat the seeds that are droped to the ground. They come walking up the driveway and back down. thanks for the reply Joe Stew
  11. Kate_ Chris Thanks Yes a person can walk away and still have a good day. How much better a person feels when they spend money. Sign contract on a new roof than went and started buying ceramic tiles for livingroom. Almost persuaded wife to enclose screened in carport to put work area there and be air condition too. She wants her dinning room table back. After that went to the pond for a two hour float swim.Pulled raft with cold ones behind.. One more day of personal spending and will be ship shape again. (wish Tandy was 2 miles away or closer than the world will be fine) Joe Stew.
  12. Well where do I begain. It all started with a new granite slab or it could have been the leather belt strap.i am using. Nothing is going right. The swivel knife does not seem to cut deep enough-the belever is compressing enough. Works look like they never been cut but just stamped. Like i woke up with 2 left hands.and started brand new. I know that i am not great but it suits me and i have begun t to do a litle better. the projects i try to do are difficult as is but why walk aroud a swamp when you can just plow through it. I guess i need to walk away from leather for a while and do some dreamcatchers but pounding leather is addictive and relaxing and keeps me a way from yard work Do i feel better now ? Yesssss If i told this to my wife she would have a weeks work of around homeof things to do. So this way i can sound off and not beloaded down with real work. Thanks Joe Stew. unmad duck.bmp

I do not have a hair knife and a xacto knife does not seem to work that good for me. 22. Daniel Thanks for the info. Googled the # and it belongs to hidecrafters. i did buy a 6885-00 from Tandy. I tried It out and liked the impression. But HideC.they. will be getiing a e-mail. The flask will have Hobo Joe on each side of Hinze Lable in the middle. Also a Hobo symbol thats a square with a line coming off the right top corner. Meaning alcohol aloud here. Also" rye wiskey only" on left bottom. Joe Stewart
