Well when I was selling car parts in the 60"s- a good cutomer- could not read the ruler. So I asked how many lines between the Numbers - he would cont them. Than I asked how many lines past the las bigist # he would say 3 or what ever. Depending on the first question I would kknow if it was !/8 or !/16 or !/32. The amazing thing is that he could read a nicrometer---- Soooooooooooo English is mt choice.

Is there any shows around Tampa Fla.? Whent to a art show that said had Leather work! Yes they did. Leather straps for jewery. we are starved down here. Guess ned to start one up. Would like to see what people do instead of on the web. To speak and handle works of others is worth the vist.

Well i have almost finished this. Still need to do background. I have found that some types of images I have a easer time with. Animals is still hard to even get past the child stage. Anyway,as you all know-it feels good taking a blank section of leather and turning into something that makes you feel good however it turns out. Well the next thing is coasters with Fla Gator theme for sister than a belt for my buddy thats going to ne a rattlesnake image on the whole belt. Thanks for reading. Joe St

Well I solved this one problem and it looks good. I also found a new invention-Tracing paper-They must have just come out with it. What i did was google pictures of wood grains-found one i wanted print shoped to size than traced. Not on the drafting paper but transfer paper. used stylus to go over leaving carved ares open. Than went over the lines on leather with swivel knife. Bamm !!! to me looks good. completes the theme of project. will show later. Well they do say I am behind times. got to go and burn out the outhouse. Where the gas Hon???? Joe " you don't say" Stewart

I was wondering if any one has done a backgrouhd of tree growth rings.. I am doing a kooler with cats and birds on a limb + name in middle. i woulld like the background to be a plank board or groth rings centerd going out to the sides. the only stain will be neetsfoot oil. Not secure about stains yet. Any help ? Thanks I have an idea but when they come up the cat starts trying to bury it. Joe Stewart

I was wondering if a member had a display at The land-o - Lakes hot rod show in land-o lakes , florida? My buddy said there was someone there but did not get a card from him. I ask him if my stuff was as good as that guys. answer was hidden my a drink of beer and said ther was some nice caes there. Go figure-thats a true freind.

HI Deno, Sorry about misspelling your name. You ought to see how many varations of Stewart you can see. Have to spell out evey time i give out my last name, than you have to deal With Joel. That depends on where you live ( jole-jowel-jol Jo-ell) I tried using Joseph ( middle name) but deing delexit (SP) could not spell right 1/2 time. Thank godness for drivers licenes. Well I did have one customer where i work that refused to call me Joe-Joel or joseph. He called me Tom. Said i looked like A Tom-talked like a Tom. when i answered the phones and said This is joe, he would say Tom, I need a warer hose clamp for a volkswagon. JJS

Hi, Looking for a pattern to hang a pipe from a belt. Could buy cheap one and take it a part. That would be ok but i find that other people have made better ones using there own ideas. My ideas are limmited to about 5 seconds. thanks for the help Joe St.

I like to use Print Shop. They have a font called "wired" makes the letters look 3D. I started using that style to pratice which side of cut that gives me the efect i am looking for. It traces and transfer good. Joe St

Hi Dolphini, My mother did her own frames and its a pain. Its like put molding up in corners You should b eable to get help from a store like Michaels (sp). Also check out some artist theamed stores. If customer service is still alive,they may help you learn or for a fee frame it themselves. pro framing shops may get expensive so I would Stick to the hobby shops There is internet search if all fails.
