  3. I guess I was wrong about the monitor tipping. My wife"s sister said the guy on the right balanced every thing out. I asked about the lady in the middle------She said that she had no effect except in your behavior. Now this creates a problem. Cause the next time she comes back from the lake, do I ask her for some filleted fish or just not speak to her? I am not saying anything like a "size 6 does not fit a size 10. I do know where i stand with the "Sisters" 5 feet away except for one. You have to guess which one that is. Sure do love fish. Joe
  4. Hi, You all!! Fished 5th pipe and so not to get out of context I included A sheath that I had done for a Colorado " Black Beauty" knife that i had from the 50's( uncle lost hatchet). I have found a forum for pipe making that has good advice and have has the same outstanding qualities of workmanship they you all Have. Anyway I am going to combine the both. Pouches and belt pipr holders. Life is so good I could just kiss my self but than my wife says i do that all the time. Well let me know what needs to be done to improve. My wife also says that I listen well !!! Joe St.

  10. Yes it is,But if you eat gar, the oil from it will seep out of your pours and the mosquito will no bother you. and there is many ways to cook them!!!! fried-barbecued-poached- baked- smoked- soups-raw with hot sauce. You have to skin them first. They go good as an appetizer and honey mayo. mixed with cheddar cheese on crackers is my favorite. Yes add them to dips-sprinkle on salads or as the " home growens" around here do-------- added them to home rolled, also adds flavor to chew tobacco. Yes we put the squshens behind our ears when we go out jucken and man oh man these here ladies can"t wait to show you there fancies. Last add to shine and youren will be asking who thaught you the new tricks. THANK GOODNES FOR OUR STATE BIRD. Ps. &50.00 a pound whole or $95.00 cleaned. Thank you Joe " Hobo" Stewart

  17. Well the weekend is over and house is calm, Son had a management meeting at Disney world all week paid for by Company he works for. They stayed 2 days with us Friday and Saturday. 2 girls (13 & 12 ? )and 2 boys(8 & 5?) The 5year old wanted to stay so i told him he could but told him we would have to put him in the china hut so we could look at him all the time. That was fine with him. Anyway the 2 girls fell in love with my leather work 's and wanted to learn how i done it. Scrap leather-= 2- mallets hours of fun. Now I going to buy 2 starter kits. Son said i had to go to tenn. to teach them-response you can and Leatherworker .net. Lost knives to boys - leather tools to girls also hats for all. As They were loading up, the boy( in the china hut,) walked out with me and asked what we were going to do. well i told him to find a rope and we would go wrangle up some cattle. He told his dad that he had wrangle some cattle with granddad. Well son said he didn't have any cattle just squirrels. Grandson said we would wrangle them. Yes a much need blessing-better than pictures Granddad Stewart---- How good that feels
  18. Resqman, Yes you are right. Baket weaving has to be donewith a direct idea of how it is going to turn out. Start-finish and aligment. What i did was a second thought and no thinking. Never should have done it. Should have left it out but the thought the project lacked somethingand after the frist strike it was a done deal. I will never be as good as the others here. Ihave got what pool hustlers in tampa call "Sulfersprings Slop" It gets in the pocket but its an ugly sight. Anyway the weave will be in on the back burner till I feel the the main subject is good. Than work on the weaving-barb wire-rope stamps. Thes things I do pay back for the nights stay on a lake-free- cleaned bass, pipe tobacco ,plants and seed given to my wife by her sisters. Joe St.
  19. Made this for sister in law. The basket weave is the look I was looking for Anyway it's what fits in side It that counts. Leatherworking gives me a headache!!! Why 's ? Wife hitting me on the head to get my attention. Two other pictures are what I am going to use on brother in laws Kooler Stewart

Leather in the morning and pipe smoking and carving in the afternoon. rest of time trying not to do "honey dos " Joe stewart. Oh forgot -shot of Rye of Famos Grouse with the pipe. No wine-shore leave in Malta cured me of that.
  21. Well this is a different craft. The pipe is from a crepe myrtle. I used a rotor tool with flex shaft The groves were done with a woodcrafters angle gouge. Walnut stain. 24. LW must have gone X rated. Gallery has Red x"s instead of pictures. Ok I wil just pound on side of computer. That will clear things up.

  25. Now I know why they put the close picture X at bottom of screen. Put that in the gallery section and you will have the highest hits. I would like to look at the hats longer but my wife had a remote camera added to my glasses so she could monitor what I am looking at. stewart
