I received this for doing some Book markers ,a tobacco pipe holder and a coaster. I was not expecting any thing for them because of the craftsmanship. The book makers had her father and brothers name plus the U.S.M.C. The coaster had favorite tobacco logo on it. and the holder had his initials on it. So my wife and I are happy. Joe

Thank you winterbear. It will be put to use. I can modify the pattern for larger pipes and add metal belt clip also. I might have not done justice to the workmanship but its usage is what counts. Might color the letters dark blue. Navy Air 67-69- Va34 Jax-Intrepid-Forrestal Tomkin Gulf---- Med tour. Joe

I guess I have done the last of leather unless family and friends want something and one more pipe to do. There is 2 more Dreamcathers to do for sisters grandkids. Joe St.

Thank you CS. Had problems wit the unstained area. Got smughed but the guy still likes it. We trade tobacco. Joe -
This is in the finishing stage. Shaping riveting-darkening with neatsfoot and sealing. There is a metal belt clip on back. First time doing that and it is rough on the lacing part. I did not know that the clip would make a flex problem,so next time wider. The clip came off a cheap pipe pouch same size. the leather was thinner. Oh, put glue on wrong side of back part. Just on edges. I was not taught that . Learned to do that on my own. Mentor out of town. Joe St. Post finished picture later.

This is what it's all about " I gave it to him yesterday he really loved it. I told him about all the feathers and where they came from and I told him about the chess pieces. Sage told him when the bad dreams started coming through that you had to take it outside for a few minutes and let the wind blow all the trapped bad dreams out of it. Thank you so much. Today they are going to Georgia to spend the weekend with Amanda's aunt. Love you and thank you again. Barbara" Sage has cystic fibrous and only 6 years old. She has one as you can tell. My sister's granddaughter and g/son Joe

thanks guys for the responses. The guy wants the untooled area darkened and the rest black. Just in case it looks bad I know now I can stain or die it. Top still needs to be tooled. Used the smallest basket weave tool. Joe

Hi, Can you darken leather with neatsfoot than apply a stain on top of it afterwards? My brain can not get past the visual part of seeing how something would look like when finished. Joe

Finished to day . Shipping tomorrow. The feathers were from Sister in Laws Birds except for the center and bottom three. They were accumulated from the woods. Joe

Big O, I need one also. I bought a kit of type I wanted and made patterens when this one wears out. It looks like it will last longer than store bought. I am into tobacco pipes, so I used that theme to tool on front and back Now the style of wallets. That depends on how much plastic you have.
