  1. At one time I made sales fliers for a company I worked for and another time-a Forestry drafting course. Used an alphabet rub off paper. Rub the letter and it adheres to project.working on. That was years ago maybe they are made now in colors. Bought them from a business supply company. Joe
  2. Now that's something worth looking into. My first impression was it was bland. Than I thought Key fob. Well than a change of fonts would improve the look. As just still learning and like to hand something out when people see what I do. Changing it to a key fob, my own tooling style on it Then maybe it would work. What a way to practice and good use of scraps.. As some one knows, I am stuck on coasters. So if nothing else- Shot glass coasters. Tooth picks is what some of my hand tooled tobacco pipes turn into. New Year Baby

Finishing up and mailing out. I and my wife do not like it. Me it is the tooling. Her is the baby. Still going to do a New year set but not like this. Learning is Hell. Joe
  4. Thanks guys, SouthTexas---- That is a specialized stamp. WScott --- yep it does balance out the image and on other things it would not be enough. The holder holds just what tools I need for a project and not roll around. Joe
  5. Thanks guys. I sealed them and others with Mod Podge---Matte-cs11302. The ones that i sent to friends are being used as a true coaster. Yes they could be used as decorations.Add hole and lace. Maybe by next year the workmanship would be good enough to sell,if not a lot of happy friends and family. Joe
  6. Bumped to keep on top. That is one good looking belt. Lacing is on the back burner. Joe
  7. Finishing these up. neatsfoot than sealer. Joe
  8. Tooth pulled.

Keep your tongue out of the socket... or you will regret it.

  9. Thanks David. All rounds are not round and a cheap Wing divider is a cheap wing divider. Than all leather rounds do not tool the same. First tool strike is the most important. The next set ." new Year" will be added Joe
  10. Well, Painted this one. How do you all like? Joe
  11. Josiah, Yeap. Haven't sealed it yet. I get my mind stuck on one thing and everything else is out of focus Joe
  12. Thanks all for the comments. The person it's going to wants it natural. Which i like also. Doing four more and problie paint it like the Voted coaster. Just enough to show a little color. I have never antiqued before, but i do have a few that did not go right. so i will pratice on them. Joe
  13. Just finishing this off. Just Waiting to see if to add color or leave like it is. Did use a philips head screwdriver to make the snow flakes that look like punch holes on it. Joe
  14. Now that right there is a awesome piece of tooling and a great way to off set the leather. Joe
  15. Thanks guys, I do like doing those themes. Coasters are useful and the leather tobacco pipe stands are also. There is so many ideas you can apply to them and to me it's great training. Now as a friend of my says use a Wing divider for boarders. Again thank you for your comments. Joe S.
  16. It seems like having fun with leather makes people happy. The santa is for Christmas and New years will be later. These will be made for family and friends and that will make my wife smile. So back to the fun and maybe i will loose the Slops. Joe
  17. I have added a cutting pad and a tool holder made from a grapefruit tree. the beer is recyclable. It's stii in the 70's here in Lutz Fla. Joe
  18. Thanks guys, The coaster created a Guitar strap from a neighbor. Now that is scary. Three different images on it. Joe
  19. This is for a friend who manned a polling station up north. It is my interpertation from a picture I seen Joe
  20. David, The lighting is a problem also. Sun shawdows. put a lamp on the table. Yeap, dumb time of year to use it but if I dont I would have a lot of splaning to do. Thanks on the collar. That is also a learning experience. If there is a next time a buckle with a bar in the middle instead of type used on this > regular belt buckle. Joe.
  21. Mijo, You may be correct on the picture and correct on the stamping. I was using the table i was sitting at on the collar and a different table that i had been using for a few years. Different heights and i think it changed my technique on stamping. Its like starting over. I am use to no responces. . Joe
  22. The collar is wating to be fitted and yes it is off center. was not paying attention. The other two are pipe stands and could be used as belt holder if i more snap was used. Thanks for lookiing. Joe
  23. This may be a better picture. Joe
  24. SHamenlong, I have done 4 of them..Basically they are like a letter envelope I am going to atempt to do one with a zipper. Anyway just trace the envelope and extend length as needed. besure to allow for the fold over. Good Luck Joe
  25. Yeap,The Chief financial officer is happy. Upped my allowance. The only problem is the natural light. It shows miss strokes and the shadow from whatever hides knife cuts. and traced lines. I put a self sealing board fromW/mart on it. A plastic tray fits on the cross supports and i will put a clamp lamp on it. And it's 4 ft from the fridge. The feathers are from the backyard. Joe
