I Promised I'd Start A Challenge For April
Stewart replied to DoubleC's topic in Special Events, Contests and Classes
Just a passing thought Cheryl, Take a sheet of paper the size of overall project.cut the lines of bust out . fold them back the way you want.. Take a picture and print out for a eye guide as you work. yuo could draw the figures to proportion. Jazznow. you think the arm should be about 15 degrees to the left with dirt falling off? Joe -

Thanks for the compliments Joe -
Well finishing these. The flag one was a problem. paint did not set right. To much, so I scraped. The Eagle stays like it is. . Skulls still have work. Space down still does not work. The tings I did for the Cystic fibrous craft sale on sold 4 key fob's at 4.00 each. They set the price. Those where the ones with a Cross stamp. My sis say it was hard cause the parents ask if they wanted the fobs or Cup cakes. .Joe

Yeap , just putting a grin on every thing. That hat I am wearing is my Tractor Driving hat. There is nothing like sitting on a Tractor and doing work. Not everyone owns one. Joe Ps. Those are Buzzard feathers in the hat

Well someone needs to add another topic. This one is getting old and long in the tooth. An update. The Sponsor of the event set prices on craft items. you can say what price , but the do there own appraisal of it. So I guess I will see what quality of work I do. This will be an "Eye Opener"-- Crying or High fiving Joe

In one of my Topics I mentioned a Charity craft sale. Afterwards said something to a friend of ours. She is doing things at a Church Festival and I showed her what i was doing for my G/Niece. She also wants some stuff also. I approached her before and she kindly declined. This time I showed her a Christan Key Fob and that made a difference. So production Here I come. Let me tell you there is a difference between playing around and having to do it. Just learned. I may have stepped into the things I have tried to avoid all my life. Joe

Jeep J10 Bifold
Stewart replied to AMMO's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Ammo, That is the style of work I try to do and you hit it dead on. The stain-dye and tooling is slick. Joe -
I have a set that i have used. I do not know if those are grooved to help keep the letters and numbers aligned right. Mine are- belonged to my dad. I use a metal 3 foot ruler to help space them right and it's thick enough to keep from leaning away from you or towards you.I also made wood shims to support the ends of the ruler so I can clamp the ruler down Scraps of the same thickness of leather working on keeps the ruler from bowing. The other thing is how hard to strike for correct impression. that takes practice. If impression is deep enough but not as deep as you want they fit back in sometimes. to me they have a limited use. I use print shop for fonts and can size them to fit what ever size project I am working on. Whew-------- Joe

Card Holder....
Stewart replied to ibuck's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
The Holder is tilted in the rug. On the right side the dark spot looks like an eye to me for some reason. You have done a excellent job. I can not do a right hand curve and a left hand curve the same. My mom was an artist and she did a portrait and I noticed the eyes where off. She told me that is natural and showed with a paper what she ment. Anyway wasn't to fault your work. That one thing caught my attention, was going to say eye, and my brain took off. Still have not found it. Joe
