Kingmax Vs Artisan Vs Cobra...
Gregg From Keystone Sewing replied to Slickbald's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Kingmax Industrial Sewing Machines come from Deko Corporation/Dongsheng Sewing Machines Company, Ltd., web site Kingmax Oh, and it's more like It's rare that a machine is setup or adjusted properly. The excitement of a perceived good price will quickly disappear soon after you find out what shows up after the machine arrives without proper setup. Not to mention the fact that there is also a value to having the confidence and support of a domestic dealer. -

Art, Me? Nothing in particular, other than responding to what's being posted here. Like was said to me, any sewing machine dealer worth his salt is importing equipment at this point. We don't do a lot here, but we do dabble from time to time as well. No expert by any means, but fully aware of 10+2, out of necessity, of course. Good deal, maybe we'll talk later. Gregg

Art, Good looking out here with this information. Intresting. Is this public knowledge, and if so where can it be found? I don't think certain suppliers cough up this information. In additon, if it says " Country of manufacter is China" in many cases this is given. Exactly what factory in China I assume would still remain a mystery.

You may not realize that you are opening a can of worms here. Most domestic suppliers will never reveal who they by from, and for many reasons. My suppliers often do the same, telling me it's simply a genuine "insert brand name". As things are, often, even people in China and Tawian we speak with over there have no idea where some items that are brought in domestically are made at, specifically. They are not being elusive, but have so many copies of copies over there, nobody knows what everybody is doing definitivly. I've always felt that people who are reputable and selling quailty products would be proud of their production facilitys, to the point of offering tours, like a Ben and Jerrys ice cream. This is not todays reality for again, many reasons Idon't want to get into on an internet message board. If you are looking for a good servo motor, the one I sell lists the factory, and can be seen here; Motor proudly made in China by Zhejiang Lishui Tianning Motor Co.,Ltd

Juki Lu 563 Or Singer 111 W 155
Gregg From Keystone Sewing replied to chapper's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Unless someone ripped a '111W155 lable and put it onto your machine, I'm quite sure it's a Singer 111W155, and not a Juki LU-562/3 model. $250 with power stand is about fair. -
Juki Lu 563 Or Singer 111 W 155
Gregg From Keystone Sewing replied to chapper's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Excellent, concise, clear info. on the Juki LU-563. I don't want to be a know it all, but pre wound bobbin is a slightly larger 'U', not 'M', and Juki does make a hook part number B-1830-563-BA0 for 'heavy thread' (this hook appears on the new LU-1508NH model) Hope this adds a litte bit without highjacking an excellent post! -

Gregg From Keystone Sewing replied to John at Byson's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
This Highlead GC20618 series parts book is for a copy of the Mitsubishi LU2-4400-BOB; Highlead GC20618 owner & parts Part numbers have changed, but the 'owners' manual section is a direct copy of the Mitsubishi book for your LU2-4400 / LU2-4420 series. -
Consew 220
Gregg From Keystone Sewing replied to TrustCommunicationConsent's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Right, I've thrown away/need to throw away machines that are newer than that one, some in good working order. I just can do anyting with them. -
No question, best price is not always the best value. There is usually a level of service involved when purhcasing machines. Ebay and Craigslist buys can turn in some gems, true, but unless you know exactly what you want, the real (not advertised) condition, and the current market value and avalibilty of parts, you can all too easily get burned on a perceived good deal.
