  1. They are all beautifull , shouldn't know wich one I like the most.
  2. Skald , I buy my leather in Belgium , Lederhandel Berten , they also have a webshop, ore www.boomsma.nl, in the netherlands. If you give them a call what you need , they give you a price. Have to find out how the prices are in Germany , heard that there are some good leathershops.
  3. Again a great stamp , do you laser it by yourself?
  4. Never thought of using an airbrush by coloring the leather . Learning every day something new here, .
  5. I 'm totally stupid , with HTML , but love to work with photo's , I used Publisher from the officepackage 2007 to build a website for my hubbies bussiness. It's not finished ( no time) but it works When I have to rebuild it , go to use dreamwaver or Komposer. Made all the frames , so can use them at a new website.
  6. Thanks , had a great day .

  7. Years ago , I painted pictures on tiles.Later did it with glas mosaic, that wasn't exactly what I expected from it , wanted to work more in details than posible. Decided to try do the same in leather and the lions are my first tryout. Have some awsome idea's , hope to find this week some time to work out one of them. Love to give friends and family a personal gift , the leathercarving gave me a new demension in my creativity. And I love to work with leather.
  8. I'm curious how you put on the rinestones , did you glue them?
  9. Great collar. I guess that here in the Netherlands it's the same , if you want to live of you're carving , you must find something special. This Year on a Country- fair not far from here , someone stamped dog collars with the name of the dog , on a prefabricate collar , be sure he had a good day.
  10. If we all make pics from our projects , write down how we did it , put it together , I'm sure it will be a great book .
  11. Hi Martin , another one from europ , glad to see you here. I also started with a starter set . But on the way , find out what tools I'm missing , buy every time a little bit more .
  12. Found some photo's on my pc , from a coaster set I made as a present for someone who's gathering everything he can find with a Lion on it . They are made from leather wich layed in a box at least 20 years, what I bought to make some horsetack and never did. Made the patterns from some lion photo's found on the web. Painted them with oil dey , and finished it with super shene.
  13. A lot of cases are over date , but the principle how to make a case , is the same. So with a little bit from All Stohlman and a lot of yourself , you can make the case you want. I use the books , to learn the principles , to learn how to work with the leather and the tools. Why shoot I try to find it out by my self , if somebody else took the the time to write it down and I can use it . Even if I should find a book out of the middleages and I can use it , I'm happy with the experience of someone else and use it.
  14. That's a nice vest, it reminds me at the leather suit , someone in Amsterdam , made for my hubby 25 years ago for our wedding in westernstyle. The suit and hat are still in topcondition , but my hubby doesn't fit it anymore. Here a pic of it at our 25 years anniversery:
  15. Nice shop, wish I had the place to work like you. Got a corner of the kitchen table:wacko: . Love the bag .
  16. I already have volume 2 , need to buy volume 1and 3, But there are so many books on my list and a lot of tools. Learned a lot from How to carve leather, and Projects and Designs from the same author.
  17. Doing it for years , now I want to make my own tack. Need some more tools , but the pattern for the saddlebags are allready in the house.
  18. Never thought of making stamps by myself , but you bring me on a great idea:Lighten: . My hubbies bussiness is in the metal , we have several cnc milling machines. My eldest son starts this year his masterclass Cnc miller , so if he has his software , he can program my stamps and mill them. The only problem is that they don't like the small work and all the milling machines are really huge. So I cross my fingers . Ask him it this evening:head_hurts_kr:
