It's got a Sportster tank. It's my 88" Shovel stroker. Thanks, I'll see if I can have my wife resize the pic. I like your guitar strap on the home page. Thanks, I'll see if I can put up a pic of the whole scooter.

Underneath the whole seat or just the cover?

What Did He Use To Print This On The Seat?
bustedlifter replied to FHL FERG's topic in Motorcycles and Biker Gear
This has nothing to do with the original question and what does buying a bicycle have to do with this? At any rate, there are a lot of people who ride XL's, for whatever reason. And I know there are some you wouldn't tell are riding a "girl's bike". At least not to their face. -
What Did He Use To Print This On The Seat?
bustedlifter replied to FHL FERG's topic in Motorcycles and Biker Gear
Quite a few members of 81 rode Sportsters back in the day, I doubt people would've told them they where on a girl's bike. They way I look at it is if someone picks up an XL,for whatever reason, at least they're riding. Their attitude could change later. -
I think one should avoid anything with eco in the name.

Inner tubes, small ones.

Charge extra for those. Seats look their best after they've been ridden on through all the elements and beat on a bit, imho.

I like it, looks good man. -
What Randy said, those aren't flaws, they're character marks.

I've used Aussie stuff and Fiebing's Snow Proof both with good results. The thing I find is,if you're going to ride it and sometimes in inclement weather, it's going to get wet. I don't think it's that big of a deal especially if you like to carve deep. Just for fun, I experimented by leaving a seat I made outside for about 5 or 6 months a couple of years ago. Put it outside in fall where it got rained on, dried out, snowed on, frozen, dried out, hot sun, you name it. It looks GREAT.I use 8-9 oz. leather and it really holds up well. Hope this helps.

I've had two Shovelheads and I LOVE them! My last one had around 100k on the lower end. My current one is an 88" stroker and it's great. I think they got a bad rap because of the PO syndrome, you know, previous owner.

That is a great idea! I'll check it out.

I have a boxful of scraps, mostly 8-9 0z. If you pay shipping, I'll send them. Thanks. I also have a bunch of craftool stamps I never use. I could throw in a few of those as well.

So they're both going to get a massive coat of black, correct?

Sometimes the public is fickle Dave.

Thanks! Maybe the last one got that finger? The deal with the missing finger is it's behind the others.

I think it looks fabulous! As usual.

I went through Dale's place when it was in Mt. Vernon,IL. back in the early '90's. Cool place back then but I bet he has a lot more stuff now. I looked at a 74 cu. in. Flathead engine with title for $1200.00 but I never went back before he moved.

How many times have you seen some bike and thought it's a bomb just waiting to go off?
