I bought a side of oil tanned motorcycle bag leather from Springfield, and was wondering what the best way to finish it is.
The first piece I will be making is a fork bag for a friend.
Thanks everyone.
It's a 26.
I checked the molding at the trigger guard, and it's not as deep as it looks in the pic. I tried and couldn't make it even catch on the trigger when pressing in on it.
My first attempt at a holster.
Made some mistakes, but overall I think the pattern worked well and the retention is good so I'm pleased with my first attempt.
7/8 oz. Herman Oak, Tiger thread, Eco-flo gel antigue.
Chris (Spinner) has a great right up on making a tank bib here. http://tech.bareasschoppers.com/resources/leatherworking-101/
It was a great help when I did mine.
These are my first wallets, and first try at carving/tooling.
I learned quite a bit in the process.
Thank you to those that posted the patterns on this forum.
Nice looking seat Paul.
I have my VTX pipes wrapped. Google "Black fiberglass header wrap". Make sure to get the silicon high temp paint to seal the wrap with.
