You can probably buy the Chinese ones for a bit cheaper...same books translated in Chinese. Look them up on etsy. The pictures are worth a thousand words...lol...I would say they are useful if you are getting into making wallets

It all depends on the press you have too. The size of the top plate is in direct correlation with the force of the press. You can only cut so much , as far as size goes, with a 5tone press for example, before parts will start breaking -

There are few vids on Youtube showing a Lucris MA III cutting larger pieces...you just need a larger cutting board that you can move around . I am doing the same thing on my clicker press that has a round top plate 12in diameter -
Few Padded Collars

No curved posture collars yet. I do have a small clip on YouTube putting together one of these collars...not the best pictures but it will get you an idea of how I did the padding. Just look up MollossMaster -
Here are few collars I just finished...10oz leather , double ply , 2in wide ...the padding is 2.5in wide made out of 2-3oz upholstery leather . Any comments are more then welcome

Side-by-side comparison cb4500 needle plate. Left side is the custom made plate...right side is the original one. The slit is narrower and the outer edge of the plate is sanded down. The new plate doesn't diminishes the machine performance in any way -
