First time using Wyosheen as a finish and was curious what ratio of finish to thinner others have had success with. I do understand a lot of this is personal preference but just looking for a good starting point to experiment with. Thanks!

Very nice! -
I have actually thought of that but have been unable to find any pictures of what their finished tool bag looks like before I purchase it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to find a tutorial for a bag similar to this? I believe I'm actually fairly comfortable with designing the main components of the bag other than the end caps. Any info that could be provided on constructing and stitching end caps, either recessed like the image or flush, would be appreciated!

Beaver Tail I Phone Case
bgl500 replied to Oldtoolsniper's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Looks great! I've always liked beaver tail. I know of people that use it for grips on longbows and recurves. Have been contemplating getting a couple tails from Sheridan Leather and trying it on a few projects. -

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction to find a vendor that sells boot lacing hardware. I'm not interested in speed laces but rather a closed clap or ring. Thanks!

Personal Opinion On What The Best Way To Learn Leatherwork Is
bgl500 replied to sawyer1989's topic in How Do I Do That?
Everyone has pretty much hit upon what's key; practice! If I could add some advice it would be to start a project that's within your skillset and finish it. Regardless of how shoddy the work appears to you, finish it. Remember, we learn from our mistakes.
