Thanks everyone. I learned a ton from this one and I'd do a few things differently next time. Rudi, thats one of the things I like to do is add some extra texture to my work to keep it visually interesting. -
Bob, we wish you could come too. Hopefully we can make it work this year and do it again in the future

AEGEAN LEATHER RETREAT DETAILS We have finalized the details of the Aegean Leather Retreat! The retreat pricing will include accommodations from your arrival at the hotel Sunday, September 25, 2016 until your departure on Sunday, October 2, 2016. You will stay at a four star all inclusive hotel, in which unlimited drinks, and all meals are provided. However, we have built some of the best sightseeing and local cuisine into the day trips so you can enjoy what the island has to offer. Additionally, we have a boat trip to the Island of Simi planned. The price for all of this is included in the Retreat pricing of 690.00 Euro per person for couples and 775.00 Euros per person for single occupants. The difference in price is because the daily room costs are split with couples. If you are a single traveler and would like to pair up with another single traveler, that can be arranged. Originally, we had planned on including airfare as well, however we found that some people are able to book flights cheaper than we can book for them, so airfare WILL NOT be included. However, if you would like us to check flights for you to compare, we would be happy to do so. NOT INCLUDED IN PRICING ABOVE TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM AIRPORT NIGHTLIFE- drinks and food outside of sponsored trips is not included SHOPING - obviously tongue emoticon CLASSES: As of right now, we have Peter Main scheduled to do a two day class on a french fit swivel knife presentation box which will feature techniques applicable throughout your leatherwork. 250.00 Euros I will be doing a class on the basics of leather carving. I will cover swivel knife work, beveling, geometric stamping and as its a small group, I'll take questions on whatever else you'd like to know. 150.00 Euros Natalie will teach a class on painting Comic/Manga characters with acrylic paints, however her techniques are applicable across many styles of leatherwork. 150.00 Euros Instructor X We are planning on having another instructor added to the itinerary, depending on availability and time. Details for this will be announced at a later date. Final thoughts: Natalie has worked diligently on getting the best pricing available for you, and we will also be able to arrange rental cars for anyone who wants one. For the day trips, we will be providing transportation to make it easier for everyone, and the hotel is in the downtown area so you will be near shopping, food, beaches and sight seeing.

The stamps are made by Barry king and Wayne Jueschke. Stamping is easy, if a bit tedious. The trick is figuring out how to be consistent. -

Thanks everyone! This was a fun project! -
What do you think?

Thanks, Tina. My sewing machine has a euro spec motor but its still in the states. Who knows when it will arrive. I'll probably just build american outlets into my house after having the power rectified. It will likely be cheaper than replacing all of my stuff.

Thanks everyone! Keenan, I have found a few of those here. Not too expensive either. Shipping my stuff will cost me 10k though. Cappy, stamping is lots of fun and you can make almost limited patterns. Just have to figure out how your tools fit together.
-
Thor, I am headed to France this much for the leather show. I should stop by. Been meaning to get to Munich for awhile now anyway.
-
Well, The new power tools here are insanely expensive. I haven't decided which is cheaper just yet. Shipping or buying new. As for the leather, I'm using Herman Oak. Leather here is crap.
-
Thank ya sir. Since I retired and moved to Greece, I am missing all my power tools so these are all done by hand. I miss my drill press

Just off the bench. What do you think?

Thanks everyone. As for the background, it will hold up. I use it on my barstools and on belts etc. It can be hit so the impression is quite deep. Bob's website is a bit of an issue, but he doesn't care as he has more orders than he can keep up with. Your best bet is to call him at 505-632-7039.

Bob, I've seen your work, and you don't give yourself enough credit. Your work is fantastic and I think we each find out niche. I can't do some of the things you do even though I've tried. That's the beauty of it. There's something for everybody!
