  1. Ed is furiously working to get things ready for Sheridan, and he is working on orders. Being a one man show is tough, but he is a solid guy and he will get to your order. Do not fear. He has always come through for me. Mike
  2. I haven't experienced this at all. I started my prices on things relatively high and I didn't make any excuses about them, so most folks don't come looking for handouts. I will do pro bono work for friends that reciprocate, or those that truly have a need, but my time and abilities have value and I expect to be compensated accordingly.
  3. Hi folks, a friendly reminder that Bob's class is in 15 days! Hope to see you there.
  4. Just a reminder that Bob's class is 15 days away! I hope to see you there.
  5. I have spent 10K in my first year and a half. A big portion of that is my Cobra 4, but the rest is hand tools, leather etc. It's hugely addicting, and I admit I have many things that I probably won't use for a while like spots, buckles etc. But, I don't care. I NEED to do leatherwork and in turn, I need quality tools. I found out quickly that poor quality tools irritate me, and so I graduated to better tools. Of course, that why my figure is so high. The quality of my work and the ease with which it is done makes that expanse worth it to me. Another plus is that you will always get your money out of quality tools should you decide to sell them, and, they eliminate any excuses that you might decide to blame on a crappy tool.
  6. Josh, I added you. Thanks for the support!
  7. Aaron, The price is the same as the video is just a recording of the live session.
  8. As many of you are aware, I am hosting online training classes with many of the big names in leatherwork. To ease the process of registration, I am posting the direct link to the class registration here in its own thread. You should really check these sessions out, as they are fun and very informative. The average session is about 1.5 hours and they are packed full of good information! There will be a video available for those of you who can't make the live session, and all you need to do is register for the class like normal, and I will send you a link to the video once it is complete and uploaded to Youtube. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. https://attendee.gototraining.com/r/7028862633880235009 Thanks everyone! Mike
  9. Dire Wolf, that is NOT the case. These classes are independent of Facebook. There is an issue with the link to Bob's class that requires you to click the "Follow link" button which takes you to the registration form. Here is the direct link to save you the trouble https://attendee.gototraining.com/r/7028862633880235009 Thanks everyone!
  10. Ron and Robert, you are approved. Chain, you will have to pay to view the videos, just like those watching the session live. We have many folks who do that because of various scheduling issues. Just sign up like normal and I will link you after the recording is ready.
  11. links are at the beginning of this thread
  12. No you do not. You may access them directly from the links provided in my original post, and then later from the website. Facebook is just where it started, but it is not needed.
  13. Jim, site isn't ready yet. This was just a FYI and to tell everyone about the online classes.
  14. Aww shucks, I agree
  15. Bob, yes that was a single pass.
  16. Dude, you should probably call. He's a phone/check in the mail kind of guy.
  17. The only real concern is vapors from toxic substances that are found in some glues, like Barge Cement, or things like lacquer finishes. I have a 3M vapor rated respirator that I use for that or airbrushing. Most everything else is fine, although some folks are sensitive to spirit dyes. As was mentioned before, ALWAYS wear a respirator while sanding leather. You don't want that stuff in your lungs.
  18. Thanks Chief! I appreciate that! Bluesman, I found a TX for Danny Marlin for you. 254-842-5405
  19. Thanks, Clint!
  20. You have to contact him directly. Danny Marlin 1550 County Road 207, Blanket TX 76432
  21. Bluesman, I have the Douglas groover too. Its a great tool. I like the Marlin for long straight runs and the Douglas for curvy stuff.
  22. I've never been, so I'll have to take your word for it!
  23. Dennis, I don't see a request on the page.
