  1. The stamps are made by Barry king and Wayne Jueschke. Stamping is easy, if a bit tedious. The trick is figuring out how to be consistent.
  2. Thanks, Tina. My sewing machine has a euro spec motor but its still in the states. Who knows when it will arrive. I'll probably just build american outlets into my house after having the power rectified. It will likely be cheaper than replacing all of my stuff.
  3. Club, this is a live streaming class, so they are held wherever your favorite chair is. You are able to ask questions and get real time responses from our instructors. Cappy, Glad to have you!

  5. Thanks everyone! Keenan, I have found a few of those here. Not too expensive either. Shipping my stuff will cost me 10k though. Cappy, stamping is lots of fun and you can make almost limited patterns. Just have to figure out how your tools fit together.
  6. Thor, I am headed to France this much for the leather show. I should stop by. Been meaning to get to Munich for awhile now anyway.
  7. Well, The new power tools here are insanely expensive. I haven't decided which is cheaper just yet. Shipping or buying new. As for the leather, I'm using Herman Oak. Leather here is crap.
  8. Thank ya sir. Since I retired and moved to Greece, I am missing all my power tools so these are all done by hand. I miss my drill press
  9. Thanks everyone. As for the background, it will hold up. I use it on my barstools and on belts etc. It can be hit so the impression is quite deep. Bob's website is a bit of an issue, but he doesn't care as he has more orders than he can keep up with. Your best bet is to call him at 505-632-7039.
  10. Thanks, Keenan. I really appreciate it. Hope things are with you!
  11. Well its true. Humble is good. Keep that, but you are a fine leatherworker. Who else is brave enough to share their progression?
  12. I would use some foam and stitch it between the layers.
  13. Bob, I've seen your work, and you don't give yourself enough credit. Your work is fantastic and I think we each find out niche. I can't do some of the things you do even though I've tried. That's the beauty of it. There's something for everybody!
  14. It does, as it is specifically meant for leather, however, I like Golden paints much better than Angelus.
  15. This was a difficult piece. Especially the face. Making the mask look like it is translucent was a trick. Thanks everyone!
  16. I didn't want to overrun the thread with a zillion pics. Y'all can look at my page if you want to dig in the weeds. Its all there. I remember that too, Jeff. I remember thinking screw that! Or hand stitching guitar straps. I still have a ton to learn, but I am happy with my progress. CC, it's good to be back and you should find your niche and stick with it.
  17. Thanks everyone. This was one of those times when it all came together!
  18. I used a can matter by Bob Beard
