  1. Thanks Mike. I don't want to get in the way of Sean, but I do monthly on-line classes that cover many different types of leatherwork techniques. If your interested, they are live classes you can attend where you have the opportunity to ask realtime questions of the instructors. If you can't attend, there is a video available afterward. Classes are 20 each. Typically they run about an hour and a half. and most of my instructors are Stohlman award winners or winners at Sheridan etc. Chan Geer, Bob Beard, Chris Andre, Paul Zalesak etc. Let me know if I can help. Mike

  14. Mjdean, I run a business in which I provide instruction on a variety of leather working topics using top shelf instructors like Chan, Bob Beard, Chris Slickbald Andre and more. All of the classes thus far are geared toward beginner to intermediate leatherworkers, however there are things for advanced folks too. Classes are between an hour and an hour and one half, and they cost $20 bucks each. Students receive the opportunity to ask questions of the instructors and there is a video for later viewing. If you are interested, I have classes available for beginning use of the swivel knife, bevelers and backgrounding. Let me know here or at immiketoo@me.com.

  16. These are made only by Robert Beard of pro series tools. There is about a year wait for them at this point unless you catch him at a trade show. These are made only by Robert Beard of pro series tools. There is about a year wait for them at this point unless you catch him at a trade show.

  20. Rudi, I just used two coats of fiebings black. I've never had any problems with coverage. I've tried the blue first and never noticed any real differences. Bob, I buff everything after coloring and then I seal it with RTC.
